I have done several Ellen Barret's fitness dvds and this one has not disappointed me at all. It is easy to follow and I assure you will fell your abs working quite hard.
Thanks to Ellen Barrett I have started to do Pilates and I have already notice the results in my body posture and even in the way I walk.

This is a totally new way of working out for me. No one in the gym is doing this type of routine. In fact I'm getting some looks it seems like because I am in slow motion but it is working!

I was hoping to be able to acheive the washboard 6 pack ab shown on the cover but my copy did not even come with the same cover so there went my inspiration! I eagerly read from cover to cover but was let down. I read fitness materials often and have worked with several fitness trainers over the years so have had a wide variety of ideas thrown at me. This presents a good concept, maybe I just need to work harder at it.....I have worked this into my daily life and can't complain. Just have an open mind when reading.

After reading several other reviews it is interesting to see all the comments. I did not think this was geared towards anyone with previous fitness experience. The excercises were very, very basic and even suggested no weights or machines were required. I am glad to see such great results from just following this book, I can not boast similar results.


Re Dennis Rogers' review / comment about slow weight training

Dennis, I very much doubt the research you are referring to were the results between someone training the old dark ages way that most people are shown to use (lots of reps and sets 3 or more times a week, and throwing the weights around, i.e., using momentum to do most of the work for you) VS the SuperSlow protocol (twice a week max with a licensed SuperSlow trainer on low friction Medex weight machines where weight is moved in a straight, slow & controlled fashion until muscle failure, and then held another 10 seconds).
If you have never personally never trained with a SuperSlow trainer, then I invite you to try it for a month. You just might reassess your attitude about it and find your strength improves remarkably, and that you feel much better. You might even have an epiphany (as I did) as to why doctors and physiotherapists refer patients to Super Slow trainers... for a start there's far less risk of injury.


By comparing over 10 abs books, I concluded...

I purchased about 10 books from Amazon on abs in order to compare them. This one wisely smuggles in an over-all weight-loss plan under the guise of an ab book. However, like Men's Health publications, it promises you something in a "six-week program," which isn't really long enough to get great results. Also, its dietary and nutrition recommendations are screwy, convoluted, and out of date. The bottom line is that when you look at the before and after pictures in this book of people who successfully completed the program, they don't look that great and nowhere near having great abs. If you want a good book to help you with your abs, here's my conclusion from comparing books...

If You Want to Trim Your Waistline: You can't trim your waistline without losing fat, and you can't lose fat around your waist without losing it everywhere (focusing on a muscle group like the abdominal muscles doesn't burn fat in that location, just a little bit of fat from everywhere on the body). So, if you want to trim your waistline, skip the ab workout books and go with a good, proven overall weight loss and fitness book like Bill Phillips' Body for Life. The Abs Diet is a similar program, but like all the Men's Health publications, it advertises a 6-week transformation, which is just a little unrealistic. Plan on more like 12-24 weeks to see really noticeable changes if you are fat.

If You Want Sculpted Six-Pack Abs: If you are overweight at all, see above--you can't get a six pack while you're overweight, and you can't lose abdominal fat by doing an ab workout, so go for overall fitness. However, if you are already lean, see below.

If You Want to Strengthen or Build Your Ab Muscles: If you're trying to improve for work, play, or rehab, you might consider the following books: The Body Sculpting Bible for Abs Deluxe DVD Edition contains decently up-to-date information and tells you exactly what to do and when to do it, based on a six-week fitness course. If you're looking for a similar book with more information, you can choose from The Complete Book of Abs or The Complete Book of Core Training. The Complete Book of Abs (1998) is a little out of date in terms of its dietary/nutritional recommendations, but it focuses more on exercises that develop the external abdominal muscles (the ones you see in a six-pack), including lots of variations on leg lifts, bicycle motion, and sit-ups. It will also give you more resources for creating your own program, and, if that's what you want to do, go with this one instead of The Body Sculpting Bible. The Complete Book of Core Training (2006) focuses more on the functional body core, including internal abdominal muscles, legs, etc., and includes more trendy exercises using medicine balls, exercise balls, yoga, etc. A different sort of book is Stronger Abs and Back (1997), which was written before the current fad of selling "core training," but contains the elements of core training because it gives good functional sports-focused advice. Its dietary recommendations are out of date, but it recommends a 24-week workout plan, which is much more realistic than the 6-week plans advocated by many of the other books.

If You Have Back Pain: See your doctor, and if he prescribes abdominal/core strengthening, see above.

In today's world it is all about good health and fitness. Not only that but for women especially it is all about looks and feeling good about it all.

So who else wants a flat stomach and a curvy butt to go with it? Come on ladies put your hands up. I know there are a lot of ladies out there that want such assets so i am going to lay down a few ways to make your desires a reality:

Take a look in the mirror.

First of all take a look in the mirror and look at your condition. How far out does your belly protrude. Can you see the lard and stretch marks around your stomach and butt. It is time to take action.

Buy an exercise magazine or dvd.

There are many exercise videos and magazines out there you can purchase. Once you purchase them you need to follow there programs and instructions. Look for exercises that target the butt. Examples are squats, lunges, dumbell deadlifts to name a few. these exercises tone the butt and give it more shape and curve.

Also look for magazines or videos that target the abs. Examples are crunches, bridges, leg raise to name a few. These exercises target the abdominals and get them toned so that they are held in place. Also don't for get to some cardio to burn fat.

Buy nutrition magazines and diet books or videos.

Again there is loads of information from magazines and books on the type of food that you need to eat to burn fat off your butt and stomach.

You need to stay away from simple sugars like white bread and processed junk food that contains saturated fat. Portion control should be adhered to. What i mean by this is that you should eat small meals but frequently. When you eat small meals your bellly will not protrude like it does when you eat a karge meal. Large meals stretch the abdominal wall and then it is hard to get it back to normal size when you lose weight or have an empty stomach.

Make sure you eat a lot of protein like fish, chicken, lean meat, etc. Then also eat complex carbs like whole wheat bread and lots of fruits and vegetables.

Never ever skip breakfast.

Never miss breakfast because if you do you are setting yourself up for failure. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It cranks up the metabolic machine. And when you eat breakfast you are less likely to pig out in the evening and ruin your efforts at attaining a flat stomach and a curvy butt.

Sleep eight hours a night.

Sleeping a hours a night will aid weight loss even faster. Yes we lose weight when we are asleep. So get the proper amount.

Avoid alcohol.

Women who drink alcohol get beer bellies just like men do. And it is not just lager that gives you a beer belly, all types of alcohol will give you one.

So ladies if you follow these steps religiously and for a life time there is no reason why you can't sport a flat stomach and a curvy butt.

Great for Getting Started!!

If you are trying to get a new workout routine going or just want to try something else this DVD is awesome! The 10 min workouts are an easy way to make sure you get in a little bit each day. Honestly, though, there have been several times when I said I would just do 2 and before I knew it I'd done all 5 workouts. It feels so good and the flexibility routine is a good way to strech out the muscles after each workout. As an additional note, if you're looking for an intense workout or specifically want to tone something this may not be the right dvd for you. It is intense on endurance but it will still help you tone and trim a little.


Excellent for the Novice

I have bought the 10 minute solution DVD's because as a single mom who works full-time I have very little time for me and I don't have the convenience of going to the gym. These workouts are great. I use them more for getting up and moving than thinking they are going to re-create my body. I feel great and I actually can see results in terms of toning muscles. I usually do 2 or 3 workouts at a time and I generally work up a sweat when I put my heart and soul into them. My favorite workouts are the ones using the fitness ball. They are not so difficult that a novice can't use them but I am sure they are not what you would be looking for if you are an expert. I love this DVD and wish there were a few more out there I could buy.


Good workouts between ballates classes

This DVD is a good product. I especially like the fact that you can customize your workout. The Upper body and core workouts are my favorites. They could be a little more challenging but you can feel that your muscles are working. The teacher is very nice, you feel like working with a friend...The music is a bit dull.

It's a good solution when I want to exercice between my ballate classes.

This is a perfect workout for me- it's fast, effective, you can mix & match workouts, & she is an excellent teacher. I am brand new to using an exercise ball, but it is easy to learn & makes the muscles burn like I never would have believed before. It's a good DVD, and doesn't overwhelm you like a lot of others. Good exercises for beginners. She is very chatty, and sometimes her voice is just plain creepy. But she does keep you motivated.


Great workout!

I love Denise Austin's videos, I have her pilatese video as well! Her video has a great deal of arm strengthening exercises, which is good, however I personally was looking for even MORE abdominal exercises than were presented in the video. In general this video is a great workout especially when used in combination with some serious cardio. I believe that anyone can see results with this video, but a healthy diet and cardio are definitely required. Unlike Jillian's videos where you get a total kick in the butt after one workout.

I love this workout DVD for toning, and accomplishes what you need to tone up those trouble zones! I have never really experienced working with the stability ball, but this DVD has me hooked! I just love Denise- she is motivating and very genuine. I think her videos are the best and because she switches up the exercises so frequently- you are like- wow am I done already? And then I feel so motivated, I do another segment, video or take a walk. So in addition to finding her DVDs very user friendly (especially trying to get back into shape), it really has helped motivate me for weight loss and exercise beyond the time using the DVD. One word to the naysayers- if you don't like her personality- why did you buy the DVD? She has been doing this 20+ years and she is who she is and I love her for it!


Love it

I got this video a long time ago and loved it. However it has been changed since the original copy was made. One of my favorite squat exercises was removed. Gives a good overall body workout and shows results if you keep up on it. I have always loved this video. I lost my first copy and had to buy it again


Good toning video

This is a good toning and strength training DVD if you already have a cardio DVD. It is good alternate this DVD with a fat-burning DVD. You will need two hand weights and a stability ball for this DVD. Stability ball really makes the workouts more effective. After using this DVD for several days, I realize how out of shape my abs are. I have no problems with the upperbody and lowerbody workouts, but the ab workout really kills me.

Dust off the Stability ball - if you are looking for a differnt style exercise for it

I had a bit of trouble with my rating because there are several issues I can see using the term "for beginners" with this DVD.....

Beginners -- well to Pilates? Stability ball? Exercise in general? Depending on what you pick I would give a different answer.

Pilates -- I would say Yes - I own maybe one other Pilates and do not use it, so at least this caught my attention enough not to give it away. I felt the instructions were clear, demonstrated well and easy to follow. I would say a beginner could follow this.

Stability ball -- sitting on the fence on this one. I got this because I just don't have many DVD's for the ball and wanted to expand the use of the equipment. That said she is OK on the basic instructions. I think someone who has never used the stability ball could be unstable and would tend to give up.

Exercise in general -- No I would not say beginner - I could see trying to stabilize on the ball and follow the Pilates moves would send the user to the floor more than once.

I think this is a nice workout with great moves for toning, flexibility, and breathing techniques. It has the capability to bring your heart rate up. It is a nice add for an experienced fit persons library.

I really enjoyed this workout. Lizbeth Garcia is great teacher, she makes it comfortable for the audience to be there even though we are in our homes. Some instructors are loud and obnoxious, Lizbeth is the total opposite. You will enjoy it.


Challenging but do-able

I use this DVD on the days when I don't feel like exercising. I listen to Lizbeth Garcia's encouraging voice and then I push myself to do it. The movements are challenging, but you know what? If you can't do it (i.e. teaser on the ball), then you roll up to the point where you feel comfortable. It's a very relaxing way to do pilates. The DVD is 30 minutes long with 8 minutes of extra bonus (they are even more challenging.) Very do-able and very effective.

Fun and a good workout...

For this tape, be sure to also purchase the Richard Simmons Chest/Arm Tone & Stretcher, as it is necessary to use with this tape. It's a twenty minute workout that really tones and uses your muscles. It includes the Broadway songs, "Dreamgirls", "All That Jazz", "Luck Be A Lady Tonight", "Cabaret", and "Don't Cry For Me Argentina". I like this tape and some of his older tapes; I did not care for the Sweatin To The Oldies series. These are more regular exercises, and although, Richard is still fun and entertaining, he is less hyper in these, and he gives you a great workout. I love and appreciate all that he has done to improve people's health, and also his efforts to get physical education back into schools. The only drawback is that it has'nt come out in dvd.


Another Richard Simmons success

I do this workout alternately with Richard's Broadway Sweat aerobic workout. I love the music, and the routines are great. There was no pre-workout instruction on the Sweat tape. In this one, he does give some instruction on the setup and use of the firming cords and on the routines....but that instruction comes after the workout, which doesn't help the first-timer much. I don't have the firming cords, but I used a bungee cord and it worked fine. Tone Up on Broadway is a great way to get into shape...and keep it.


I love this video

I can't believe no one has reviewed this video yet. I love Richard Simmons and I love this video. It's so much fun. It's approx. 25 minutes of toning with resistance cords. I use free weights instead. All the music is from broadway shows, which makes the video even more enjoyable. It's like Richard and Friends are puttting on a little production. I own several of Richards videos and I love them all. But, I find myself reaching for this one a lot. One of my favs.

There are plenty of ways to work the abs using a stability ball, and instructor Suzanne Deason uses them all. Deason is a yoga and Pilates instructor who incorporates both disciplines in this rigorous, slow-paced workout for the abdominals and back. Great abs workout with both Pilates and yoga elements

Balance Ball Fitness Abs is a slow-moving yet tough workout which will really challenge your abdominal and core strength. Prior to the start of the workout, instructor Suzanne Deason spends approximately 5 minutes providing basic instruction plus a few warm-up moves on the ball, including rolling the pelvis and hip areas plus draping yourself over the ball. The workout begins with some basic twists and crunch movements both sitting and lying on top of the ball. You then move to the floor on your back, placing the ball between your legs for a toe tap series both with and without arm movements; many of my Pilates videos include similar exercises. Next come two additional Pilates moves: rolling up from a lying position and doing a twist while in a seated stradle position. In these exercises, the ball really helps to assist with correct placement and form.

You will then lie on top of the ball, face down, for a series of tough moves in a plank position. Particularly difficult was forming a plank with only your toes on the ball and then rolling your knees in towards your chest--you will definitely feel this one! Following this, Suzanne does a nice relaxing side twist, but you're not quite done: the most challenging work is still to come. In the final segment, you again return to lying on the floor on your back, this time placing the ball between your feet for some moves which concentrate on the lower abs area. For the most difficult of these, you lift your hips, moving your legs overhead and setting the ball down on the floor behind you. This looks like a yoga pose, the plow, but the exercise is actually dervived from the Pilates rollover, and it requires quite a bit of prerequiste core strength. Suzanne ends the routine with a few minutes of nice back and side stretches over the ball for a total workout time of 26 minutes (not including the instruction/warm-up).

I felt that this video gave my abs a great workout, and I particularly liked the excellent lower body work towards the end. I would classify this as an intermediate abs workout, and prior experience with intermediate Pilates moves would be extremely beneficial. The setting for this workout is rather serene--an outdoor stream with soft guitar music in the background--and the pace is slow and steady, so it is not for those looking to break a sweat. I've been working out for some time and let me tell you that this video actually made me sore the next day. There's one very advanced move that will take some time to master, however the rest is a really great workout.


Requires some advanced yoga

This video does work just that its a yoga based video. Because of this you will not get results unless you use proper breathing. Also some of the yoga moves, especially towards the end, are particularly advanced. I have not mastered them yet but I think with continued use of this video I will. I like all the videos in the series because aside from just getting a good workout, they help me relax and I feel generally soothed after each one. This video is difficult so do not try it unless you have patience because you probably will not be able to do all of it the first time.


Great Abs Workout

I love this video. The first time I did it, it didn't feel like I was working anything, but I did the whole 30 minutes nonetheless. Later that evening, I couldn't believe how much I had worked my abs. They actually hurt when I laughed! And I couldn't work them for a few days. Since then, I can do the tape every other day or so and I can see a lot more definition. I feel great and refreshed on the days that I do the tape.Also, it is a very relaxing setting and Suzanne is very calming which is good if you're not looking for a high energy workout. Very yoga-like.

I thoroughly enjoy working through this tape. I've only been doing it for about 2 weeks, and I can already feel my progress. After working out, I feel tall and my abs feel tight (a small feat after 3 kids). The yoga mood is relaxing too. I look forward to doing this one day, then a Zone tape the next.

I've read some reviews of this item and think it deserves a positive rating. If you use it to do "sit-ups" and a "seriuos" workout you're missing the point. I bought it because of back problems and the inablility to do a "sious" workout. I found that using it more like a rocking chair than an ab bench works best.

This is a geat workout! But be aware all you Turbo Jamers, this is much more difficult then any of the other DVD's. I can pretty much breeze through the other DVD's, while this one left me panting and sore. Of course, this is a good thing!

What I really like about this DVD is that it is so different from the other Turbo Jam workouts. I really like Turbo Jam, but Jamers know that each DVD is pretty much the same; same movements just changed up a bit. Also, sometimes I feel that each section is just a little too repetitive. Not so with this DVD. This was a refreshing change. I like it!

I just recently received this DVD did the workout and I can't believe I paid 42.99 for this, anybody know why this one was so expensive compared to her other workouts. I did break a sweat, probabley will do it again. I am big fan of her other DVD,s, I own 3 others. Maybey I expected so much more for the price I paid, I guess I feel ripped off, this one is not as fun to do. I would not recommend this DVD especially for the price you pay.

I own most of the Turbo Jam videos, and today I did Total Body Blast for the first time and it was AMAZING! I love all of Chalene's videos, but this is the only one so far that has actually left my arms and shoulders feeling sore! I would have never known that a ball would make me work out even more than the weights! It's a longer workout, 60 minutes, but definitely worth every second!!! The entire 60 minutes are in intervals mixing cardio and abs, using the ball in every section, from warm-up to cool down!

Love it!!!!

This workout is really great! I love how she works the ball in, some cardio, then ball work, back and forth. It is a 60 minute DVD, but really doesn't seem like it! It is a must to your Chalene Johnson collection. I wish she would do more DVD's with the ball. The ball gives you a really good workout! The music is good. This is another one that I include in my favs. You will want to add it to your collection.

This is the hardest and most intense of the turbo jam DVDs i love this video it is way better than the other ball DVD because you use it the who time i definitely recommend this video you will get an incredible work out! It sculpts the shoulders and the abs with some lunges as well.

As long as you are not sweating, these headphones are excellent. Great sound (when they are dry). Secure fit. Good looking. BUT they are not sport headphones as advertised because they don't play well with sweat. As a runner, I sweat an average amount, and it just pours into these earpieces.... causing a muffled sound and reduced volume. As far as I can tell, it is caused by sweat forming a film over the metallic surface of the earpieces. To make matters worse, sweat can cause an additional seal between the upper portion of the earpiece and the ear canal, which further worsens the sound and causes occasional popping as the seal repeatedly forms and releases while running.

I'm not a Vulcan... my ears are not unusually shaped... I'm sure many others face this same problem (and indeed some of the reviews prove that).

Come on, Sennheiser engineers, I challenge you to come up with a solution. These headphones are WAY too good to discontinue... but they need to work well with sweat. What if a ridge was cut in the outer earpiece to prevent the water seal from forming... and also if the tiny holes in the metallic part were shaped differently to prevent the formation of the sweat film?

LOVE these headphones!

I've owned these headphones for about 2-3 years now. I researched every set of headphones made knowing that the ones I first bought always fell out of me ears.

I wear these on the treadmill, running outdoors, in the gym doing regular weight work and LOVE them. They've been shoved in my gym bag and are sweated on 5 days a week. They sound as good as they did on day one, never fall out, have not even faded.

When (if) these ever break, I will be buying the same exact style again.


Low comfort

It pushes my head so hard, that I can not use it. I have a physical pain on my ears after wearing it for about an hour. Too much of pressure per area.
I know that it is designed on purpose for sports, not to fall from a head while running. But this is not acceptable, it causes lots of pain!


Brittle wire covering and awkward fit

I have had these for one year and the rubber wire covering is cracking in 6 places exposing the copper wire. They are still working but probably not much longer. This casing should not deteriorate this quickly. These also fit awkwardly and constantly rotate out from the ear causing the sound to suck.(the in the ear portion is on a swivel from the ear hook) really annoying.


Sounds Fine, Poor Workmanship

These are a standard headphone in terms of sound quality, about as good as a Sony. After a month or so, the plastics began to disbond and the wires began to break through the plastics around the earpieces. I expected at least average workmanship for the price, but this was poor quality. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Great little invention!

I'm constantly listening to music through my iPod, and one of the most annoying things that happens with the Apple earbuds is that they easily slide out, especially at the gym when my ears are a little sweatier than normal and I'm moving vigourously. I personally find the original Apple earbuds to be excellent in terms of sound quality, so I didn't want to abandon them. I looked for Apple-brand earbuds designed with clips like some other known brands, but they didn't have any. I'm really glad I came across the Earbudi clips, they work very well! The design lets you wrap the clips around your ear nice and snug, and you can easily snap the Apple earbuds on and off. Great quality rubber too. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a set of earbuds to use while working out, and planned on spending $40 - $50. I didn't really want to spend that when I already had a perfectly good set of earbuds that came with my Ipod. I saw the Earbudi while looking on Amazon and thought, "What do I have to lose for 10 bucks?". They're softer than most clips and don't hurt my ears. These are a simple solution to a common problem.

I snapped them on my iPod ear buds once and left them on. I use them all the time at the gym when I am on the treadmill. Perfect accessory-it is now just a part of my iPod. I think I will start my Christmas shopping early. They will be great for stocking stuffers and very affordable.

I use EARBUDi for my iPod every time I exercise. I have sensitive ears and used to have Walkman earphones that were made of hard plastic - made me sore behind the ears. When the iPod came out, the earbuds fit fine if I'm sitting at the computer, but when I use my iPod while jogging or riding my bike, they fall out a lot, until I got EARBUDi. You can slide the EARBUDi over top your earbuds so you can exercise without the things falling out of your ears! It's also a much softer and flexible material, so it's not digging into my ear like previous generations - very comfortable. I was surprised that such a small and inexpensive product turned out to be as reliable and useful as my iPod itself. I recommend it to anyone who listens to their iPod or iPhone while exercising.

My iPOD ear phones always fall out when I am running (or walking). I have the ear phones that come wiht the iPOD. It is very annoying. I saw the EARBUDi on Amazon and ordered one for my wife and one for myself. We love them!!!! First, it is very affordable...so just buy it. It is very easy to use, they are comfortable, and most importantly...now my hearphones stay in place....and I can listen to my music while I am excercizing. I plan to run a 1/2 marathon in a few weeks...and my EARBUDi will be going along for the ride!

We have all seen them. I call them Gym fly’s. The guys that hang around the gym and do more talking than working out. They have the latest workout clothes, and are sipping on their carbohydrate and protein loaded fitness drink while they work their jaws. They LOOK the part, but in reality, they are simply LOOKING. Their target? Women.

From my experience, most women are at the gym to do one thing: workout. They are not interested in meeting guys and they are not impressed by how much weight you can throw overhead or how cool your arms look in your wife beater. The problem is, gym fly’s don’t get this. They often hover around these ladies ready to offer their “advice†to the “helpless woman.†Well ladies, listen up. Here are a few tips to help you keep these BUGS away from you and help you concentrate on getting a serious workout!

1. Knowledge is power…use it!-Many guys love to go up to women to give them advice on their lifting technique or workout in general. First of all, if ANYONE is going to put themselves out there in this way, you MUST be tactful…most of these guys AREN’T. Secondly, the fact is, a lot of their advice is often flat out WRONG. Women, if you do your homework and brush up on both your workout knowledge and technique, you will put THEM in their place. Trust me, they will leave you alone.

2. When in doubt, bring a friend-Working out with a partner will not only help keep your workouts focused and safe, it will also help keep the unwanted gym fly’s at bay. People who are together are less likely to be bothered when working out

3. Crank up the music-I like to listen to music when I workout personally. Rather than dealing with whatever is pumped through the speakers at the gym, I like to pop in the ear buds of my iPod. If you are there to concentrate on getting in shape, not socializing, then listening to music or audio books via earphones will surely let others know you mean business. Anyone who decides to interrupt you had better have a good reason as the simple fact that you will have to stop and pull out your earphones will deter many from even bothering.

4. Don’t go to the gym-Wait a second, don’t go to the gym? Yes, I said it. See, the mere fact that there are so many distractions at gyms makes working out at a gym not an option for a growing contingent of fitness buffs. This is not to say DON’T WORKOUT, but instead, workout outside of gyms at a boot camp style class. Obviously, you won’t have to deal with the aforementioned gymflys, nor any of the other interruptions and distractions that keep you from what you really want to do…get in shape! Outdoor workouts are a great alternative and if you take some time to learn a little about all the ways you can get in shape just using your own bodyweight, you may decide to stay away from the gym altogether.

The author, who is also a professional computer designer, designed the cover. The inside cover has a conversion chart from kilograms to pounds. The first page explains in a user-friendly manner of how to use the book. The 2nd and 3rd pages are designed to annotate your present body measurements, height, weight and your max on squats and benchpress. The actual "log" portion of the book is designed in an easy-to-use format. The user can track how many reps and sets he did with a particular weight. It even has a section that asks, "How the workout went" and the user can circle BAD OK GOOD VERY GOOD EXCELLENT (or even) #@! For those really bad days in the gym. This book has been in circulation since 1994. It has sold extremely well in the gyms across Canada, but it's time now to get the book on the net and to a larger market.

Everything I need to track my workouts precisely.
When I bought this product I also bought "BodyMinder Workout and Exercise Journal (A Fitness Diary) to see which one I'd like more as I couldn't get a feel for it by browsing the products' description.

"The Workout Log" is my favorite. There are more pages devoted to workouts them selves rather than tracking what has been eaten. I see the value in tracking my diet, when it comes down to numbers "The Workout Log" has many more pages for individual "days" of workouts.

If what you want is a log to track both your Cardio and Strength training then this is the log for you

I am starting to concentrate on strength training and this book is great! I love how easy it is to track and there are no advertisements - just simple. It gives an example of how to log and use the book in the front. In the back it has a male with muscle groups shown in an image - it'd be nice to see a female one also.

But, no frills - this book has what you need - blank pages to log.

Perfect for planning nerds!

I love to plan, and this book makes it so easy to write down my fitness goals. It has everything I would have made myself - weekly/daily goals, space for positives and negatives, inspirational quotes, check boxes for what was accomplished, basic body measurements, etc. These are exactly the types of things I think about lying in bed at night. This book will help me get to sleep sooner =)

Oh, and the book is about 6 x 6.5 inches, and 1 inch thick. Fits perfectly in my purse!

This book is amazing! I've actually made my own fitness book which is not nearly as nice as this and was such a pain to tell Kinko's how to put it together. I don't have to look any further!

With this book, you can keep track of workouts, log food entries, put in goals, medication info, etc. It's so handy. I've been searching for a book like this. And they included a pen!! The only down side to this book is that it is too pretty to write in. :)

Great motivator

I just bought my first fit book about 5 weeks ago. Using this book has helped me keep track of my nutrition and exercise in such a way that I've lost some pounds. The nutrition page has room for notes for each meal as well as a face that you can circle. If you made a good choice for the meal, you can circle the smiley face. There is also a frowny face and a neutral face. At the bottom of the nutrition page, there is a tracker that you can use to track the food groups you've eaten so far. On the exercise page, you not only record your workout but you can also rate it. The choices are killer, good, so-so, blah, and oops-I missed it. I have found that I can't wait to record my workout once I've completed it. If you're looking to lose weight, make healthier choices, or to challenge yourself, this book is for you!

good log book

What I wanted: A log tailored to weight lifting, with lots of room for numerous sets and reps.

What I did not want: Lots of space for cardio, trivia, motivational quotes, heart rate, diagrams, space for nutritional intake/calories/carbs; in other words fluff.

It's hard to find a simple little log book these days. I already keep meticulous records of my nutritional intake on my computer and I absolutely did not need space for that in my logbook. This ruled out 99% of the logbooks on amazon. At the time of my purchase I intended to buy "The Workout Log by Joe Oliver", but it was 'Temporarily Out of Stock'... it seems to me that it may permanently be 'temporarily out of stock'. Anyway, I took a chance on this book and it works just fine for my needs. The seller is very eager for your business, so they are very courteous. The construction quality of this thing is not up to the same standards as a major book publisher but I'm pretty rough on it and it holds up well to my abuse. When I fill up the last of the pages in this thing I will either buy another from this seller or make my own in excel - it depends how I feel at the time. Bottom line: good value for the money.

Great work-out tool

I always had trouble being organized when lifting. I do track and field at a high competitive level so it is important for me to track my progression - this book is great for that. I also bought a book for my boyfriend who had little motivation in the weight room, but now that he can follow his own progression he has gotten a lot more competitive with himself. I highly recommend this book to anyone at any level.

As a side note, the seller they offer excellent service. Visit their store and see their great selection. I bought a pair of customized straps. I made a mistake and bought them too long. Guess what, the seller is going to send me a new pair free of charge!!! Thank you ATP.

If you lead a busy life, with kids, work, and weeknight activities, you might have fallen into the habit of not taking care of yourself. If you look in the mirror and do not like the extra weight that you are now carrying as a result of a busy lifestyle, you still may be perplexed because you do not know how to start putting together a weight-loss program that is right for you. Weight loss programs abound in book form and online, and some offer rapid weight loss, but that might not be the best weight loss for you. How can you determine what type of weight loss program will help you drop those extra pounds and gain extra energy and vitality?

All healthy weight loss programs focus on the food you eat and the exercise in which you participate. The bottom line is that if you eat more than your body needs, you will start to gain weight, but if you eat a little less than your body requires, you will drop weight. Although you can lose weight quickly by following stringent diets, once you stop the diet the pounds often return. Healthy weight loss begins with making a few lifestyle changes that you can stick with over the course of time.

In terms of effective weight loss programs, you can start by substituting healthier food choices for lower nutrition ones. First is to rid your diet of sugar. This often takes the form of corn syrup, which finds its way into several foods, notably soda. Eat fewer fast foods, which tend to be high in fat and calories. Add vegetables and fruits, whole-wheat breads and grains, and healthy proteins found in soy, egg whites, and lean chicken. Drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day is another easy to implement healthy choices into your weight loss program as well.

There are three basic areas that you want a comprehensive exercise program to cover, and they are cardiovascular exercise, weight training, and stretching. Great Ball!

This exercise ball works great for me - as a desk chair. I spend a lot of time at my computer, since I teach online, and I decided that sitting in a chair is just too lazy. This exercise ball is perfect. It has stayed perfectly inflated now for about 2 weeks, with tons of use. The pump is great, better than the old style pumps that needed a special tip. The tip is built right in, you don't have to worry about losing it. And it also comes with a little fork-like thing when you need to pry out the plug and inflate or deflate the ball. I haven't yet checked out the video, but I plan to start using the ball for exercise, too.

It wasn't the brand she suggested so I thought she might think I'd got an inferior product but in fact she said it was one of the best out there. I LOVE doing Zumba! I am a big fan. I was looking for something fun to do on the days when I'm not doing Tae Bo, and Zumba DEFINITELY fits the bill. I am a huge clutz and not a dancer by any means, but I've still managed to do all the steps and figure out Zumba. I love all the different workouts in the set. They get my heart rate up so I really feel like I'm getting a good workout, but the workouts are also so much fun that the time goes by quickly. I always feel refreshed and energized afterward instead of tired. The music is great. Buy these! You won't regret it.

Fun adjunct to a workout regimen

I am an uber fit senior recovering from a year long lay-up from a back injury resulting in 4 herniated discs. I've just begun slow, short hikes and weight lifting and added Zumba to my repertoire. It's an absolute blast. For those with back pain, you can still enjoy a fun basic workout while avoiding the routines where there are some jumps and hops. I didn't break a sweat or breathe hard, but the stretching is so much fun and the music is habit forming.

Most of the dancers in the videos obviously hit the gym regularly to be in the shape they are in, so don't be fooled into thinking that, YES, YOU can look like THEY do if you Zumba daily. If you buy the Zumba set with the expectation that it is only an adjunct, you won't be disappointed.

Fun,easy to follow, and definitely works your abs! The vocals should be louder. I found it is difficult to hear the steps being called. The cardio routine is a good work out. I really like this video and all of the moves in it but it is an hour long and I don't always have that much time. It would be nice if they had a shorter version for when you are strapped for time but overall its a great yoga dvd.


Oh, Rodney!

When Rodney says 'Total Body Workout' he means just that. He moves quickly and flows through many Sun Salutations and stretches. If you want a burn, this DVD will make you break a sweat, while still being relaxing and rewarding.

Though the positions in this tape are not advanced (i.e., no Crow-like poses, or hand-stand poses Rodney uses in Advanced Yoga), this tape is not meant for beginners who cannot move quickly through strenuous lunges, Warriors, and Salutations. He's great, though, so if you want some Beginner's Rodney, i recommend A.M./P.M. Yoga for Beginners.


Fast paced, not for beginners!

As I am not a yoga beginner, I felt this was an amazing DVD! The workout itself lasts just over 60 minutes and is pretty fast paced. If you've never done yoga before, this is NOT FOR YOU! Get a beginners DVD (Rodney Yee has a beginners DVD too) if you've never done yoga before or take a class with a qualified instructor, and never begin a vigorous exercise regimen without consulting your doctor!

There is one pose I can't do and one I can't hold for as long as Mr. Yee does, but that's because I'm not an expert at yoga - yet! The best thing you can do is to try your best and do something that looks similar when you can't do what the instructor is doing.

As I said this is FAST PACED and you will work up a sweat before you are done! A great yoga DVD and a great workout.


Amazingly challenging yet relaxing

I did this for the first time--got through it all, felt fabulous, and only fell down once (half moon pose)! Excellent, indeed, for those of us more advanced. I am blown away that Rodney crafts a workout that is rigorous, yet the entire time I am mentally and spiritually relaxed and happy within. Bravo!

Regarding other reviews about lack of core work: try Sadie Nardini's Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga...that is my other favorite. Sadie weaves specific abdominal work into the Vinyasa flow (ex: rather than going from down dog w/leg extended straight into Salutations, she'll have you bring the leg forward to half plank at the chest, extend back again (twice), then go into the Salutation. Ab work is woven throughout. I feel Sadie's practice may be more tailored to women's bodies specifically, but I respect and appreciate this workout from Rodney, and will enjoy doing it regularly also.

A mixture of boxing punches and martial arts kicks, Tae-Bo is fun and easy. One of the best elements of this two-tape set is that the first tape (which is 40 minutes long), Tae-Bo: Instructional, lays out the movements you need to successfully complete a workout. Once you've mastered the steps, you won't have to fast-forward through half the tape to get to the workout, nor will your workout be slowed down by the repeated lessons. After you feel comfortable with the movements (and they're really quite easy to follow; nothing too complicated to trip you up), you're ready to move on to Tae-Bo: Basics, a 27-minute workout (5 minutes of warm-up, 18 minutes of Tae-Bo, and 4 minutes of cool-down) that will have your heart pounding and your body sweating. good workout

I only got the one video--Basic workout--even though the picture includes the instructional with it. Not sure if it was a seller mistake (never heard back from them) or what. Love this basic workout--fun and challenging but I can still walk the next day without being sore! gets the heart and sweat going really good. Another good one on this same level is Tae Bo II Get Ripped basic workout. I lost 11 pounds in the last 6 weeks doing these videos!

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. I'm a musician, and I prefer vinyl over cd, so one day I was at one of my favorite record shops when I saw this on the dollar rack. It was in mint condition, and I said to myself: "I need to have this, just for the future when I have kids and they ask me who Arnold was." So I bought it, and took it home. I put it on just to see how ridiculous it would be. About 30 seconds later I was rolling on the floor, unable to control myself. If you ever have a chance to get your hands on this, do yourself a favor and don't hesitate. I have always found Arnie to be a funny guy, and his accent frequently turned crappy lines into the stuff of legend, so needless to say, him shouting "up down, up down, up down, now squeeze yah buttocks!" was all it took for my floor to get to know me a little better. Politics aside, this is a look into the past of one of the greatest action stars that ever lived. Now, to bring politics back into the ring, it's a wonderful example of the diversity of our political system, proving that truly anyone can play a part in running this country. To sum this up, don't buy it for the music. If you do, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. However, this is an absolute must for any Arnie fan out there, young and old. And remember kids, Arnie wants you to squeeze those buttocks so you can avoid the horrors of flabby thighs!

Greatest Workout Album Ever

Decent product except one thing

This product was brand new and in original packaging. The only thing wrong with is was the earbuds. The one wire on the right side is alot longer than the left side. I thought about returning them but they work so im just keeping them.


Not what I expected.

Not what I expected. First of all, the case that holds the ipod tends to get stuck and it is hard to take out. The plastic cover clings to the screen and when you try to adjust it, it feels like you might break the screem.

Secondly, the erbud wire is very thin, you need to wrap the right earbud around the back of your neck which I don't like.

Again, this is not what I expected.

Perfect Sports Bra for voluptuous women

This is the second Enell bra I've purchased and it has changed my world. I used to have to wear 2 or even 3, 'high impact' or 'running' sports bras because nothing seemed to keep the girls in place as I wanted. This design is like armor - which I love - (and it's not a pretty frilly thing)- and because of that I feel confident to go running or play tennis or jump on a trampoline, whatever - cos everything is protected! It is the perfect sports bra for well-endowned women.


Best sports bra I've ever had

It's not the prettiest looking bra in the world but it does it's job perfectly. When running in other sports bras I felt like I had trouble regulating my breathing because of the extra pressure being put on my chest from the bouncing but I don't have that problem with this one at all. I've been able to run farther than I ever had in my life. The only thing I don't like is the seams running through the middle of the chest can be seen through a t-shirt and the feel of the bra takes a little bit of getting used to. I would still recommend this product to any other large chested women.


The Buckley's of Bras

First, let me say that this bra works. I bought it when I was a G cup, and it was the only sports bra I encountered that actually held me in place. There was absolutely no movement, and I found myself wanting to tell large chested women in my yoga class about what a great find I had made. That being said, I call this the Buckley's because just like Buckley's tastes awful but works, this bra looks awful but works. I can't imagine wearing this as my everyday bra because there are some very noticeable lines. First there is the ridge running down my centre that looks like my mother mated with some spiny dinosaur, and then there are the lines horizontally dissecting my chest. Even with a tank top under my shirt, these were still quite noticeable. Empreinte and other companies make much more attractive and comfortable (albeit expensive) bras for everyday wear. For a sports bra, though, I just want things held in place, and this bra does the job. If you want a pretty, dainty bra, this isn't for you. If you're okay with something akin to the granny panty look so long as you're held in place, this is the bra you're looking for.


a good bra, be careful when measuring for it though

I ordered a size 3, and then when I got it, it seemed less than wonderful. So I measured again and exchanged it for a size 2. The size 2 is amazing. I was wearing two bras all the time for working out (I'm a DD) and even those two together did nothing compared to this bra. It is wonderful. I'm a jogger, and it makes jogging a lot more comfortable. There's not NO movement at all, but it is greatly diminished. The only negative I see is that it is kind of obvious in many shirts, the design of the bra seems to make my chest look weird. Overall, I love this bra and would reccomend it to anyone who is a C cup and above.


Finally Secure!

This is the sixth Enell sports bra I have purchased and I can honestly say this bra has changed my life! As a large-busted professional doing active work, I was never able to find a sports bra that fit correctly. The enell gives me the support and "containment" that I need to do my work more confidently. I originally bought this bra just for work, but found it so awesome, that I ended up wearing it everyday. No more constantly pulling up straps or readjusting the band. My clothes fit better, and I don't feel like I am always in danger of "falling out." I also have had a huge improvement of headaches and back pain since wearing this bra. I now feel this bra is something I can't live without. Make sure you follow the size charts, as sizing can be a little difficult at first, but once you find the right size it is well worth the extra effort. I don't mind that it costs a little more, because of the awesome comfort and support, and superb quality that lasts a long time. Thank you Enell!

My favorite workout shorts (extremely worn) got a little hole in them, it was time to let them go. Looking for a replacement, these sounded like a good choice. I was looking for shorts with a low waist & a 4 inch inseam. These shorts met those requirements according to the description.

In my opinion, these shorts don't have a low waist. They sit right under my belly button...and I have a high waist. Also, the shorts bunch up in the thighs, I am constantly tugging at them. The only positive thing I can say about these is they do flatter the rear end. If low waist is important to you, pass on these.

I normally wear a 34DD, but I have one of these in a 34C and a 34D. The smaller one is the only thing that I can run in, while the larger one is perfect for spinning classes and more comfortable to wear. When you size down you do lose some of the separation that this bra is designed to offer, but since I've yet to find another bra that can provide separation and enough support, this is not too upsetting. It still beats a compression only bra.

It's comfortable and I like the adjustable straps. I just wish it were underwire so the girls couldn't slip through the bottom. It is very comfortable but I won't use it for high impact activities like running or volleyball but will use it for elliptical or walking.


Excellent bra for the money

I am normally a 42DD. I took others advice and ordered a 40DD instead, and was very happy I did so. This bra really did the trick for me after many others failed. I am not a runner, but do some serious hiking and was very comfortable the whole time. Nothing pinches and my back and shoulders felt good even after wearing it for a whole day. This bra offers really good coverage, with no "spillage" out of the sides or top like some others I have tried. Adjustable velcro straps in the front are really nice as well!

Best sports bra I've ever owned

I absolutely love this bra and am back on Amazon buying more. I'm a 34DD but sized down to 34D with this, and it's perfect. This bra has firmly held the girls jiggle-free through skiing, mountain biking, running, and aerobics classes.

My lone complaint is that the thick material retains sweat, which can get pretty uncomfortable on long runs.

nice shape, pretty but not very functional

It's nice shape and flattering. However, it retains sweat alot which makes it feel very uncomfortable after only a few minutes of working out for someone who sweat alot like me won't appreciate so much. I ended up buying three of these though.. 1st one wrong size, one pink/white, and one white/charcoal. no return policy due to sanitary reason, so choose the right size, you can't return it even if you get the wrong size.

I'm impressed with this sports bra. I've never really been a fan of sports bras because of the horrible uniboob issue, this bra takes care of that problem though! There is some slight padding to help give your boobs some shape and it's overall pretty comfy. If you're in need spend a little more on this and invest in an excelent sports bra.

Great support - NOT wicking

Great bra for running! Didn't feel too tight but kept my C cups from bouncing. The bra is thick (multiple layers of fabric). I ran 7 miles outside in 90 degree weather. When I took the bra off, it was soaked and weighed at least a pound! Does not wick moisture away as other bras do. I guess the multiple layers of fabric vs. breathability is the the price you pay for the support. Definitely a good choice for cooler weather running, but not the bra to use in the warmer months.


Gorgeous & Great Fit Too

I threw away all of my sports bras because they were completely worn out. All were Champion bras that I've had for over 5 years so I knew Champion was a good brand to go with. I search on Amazon looking for the 'perfect' sports bra. I do believe I found it! I ordered it a size down like the other reviewers said to do and it fits perfectly - hardly any bounce at all and I am not small chested. I am a 34D and ordered the medium. My experience with bras of all kinds is that if it fits a bit too snug at first, after a few wearings, it will probably stretch to fit perfectly. I love that this bra has the clasp in the back so you can adjust it to fit perfectly. Love this bra! I'll probably be ordering another one. (The one I purchased is pink and the color is beautiful)!

It delivers!

I was new to the "Buff" line when I bought Fashionably Buff, so, unlike the first two reviewers, I had no preconceived notions before reading this book and trying its work-outs. After six weeks of doing the prescribed work-out routine together with a reduced-calorie diet, I am 10 pounds lighter and inches leaner. What this book promises, this book delivers.

I chose Fashionably Buff (FB) over other exercise books (including Buff Brides) because I was looking for a book with simple exercises that didn't require a ton of time or a lot of fancy-pants equipment. Of the seven exercise programs in FB, six target specific areas (arms, legs, etc.) and one is an all-over work-out. Before targeting any one problem area, I decided to trim down, so I did the more general work-out. Six weeks later, I'm thrilled with the results! (And even though I didn't actually target my arms, legs, or abs, all of them are leaner and stronger as a result of the all-over work-out and losing a few pounds.)

This book is what it purports to be: an exercise book that can help you get fit and look better in certain types of clothes. It's not a fashion magazine article; its fashion advice is neither novel nor particularly helpful. But if you're looking for an exercise book to change the body you're putting into the clothes (not just fashion advice on how to make the body you have look a little better at the moment), this book is wonderful in its simplicity and effectiveness.


Not what I was expecting...

Like the previous reviewer, I am a big fan of Buff Brides, used it to tone up before my wedding and am still using it several months later. I needed a change, so I was happy to see that Sue Fleming came out with a general workout book.

But, I am a bit disappointed in it: While Fashionably Buff has some new, interesting workouts, what I loved about Buff Brides was the fact that it had two, very comprehensive workout guides, telling you which exercises to do on which days. With this book, I feel totally lost. I may take a better look at it and maybe formulate some kind of plan, but I'm a bit disappointed.


A little disappointing, compared to Buff Brides

I ordered this book because I've really enjoyed Buff Brides by the same author. (She also has out Buff Moms-to-Be and Buff Moms, which I might try when I get to the appropriate life stages.) I bought Brides about a year and a half ago, enjoyed it and the results, and still follow the workouts 9 months after my wedding. I recommend that book, even for non-brides; I gave a copy to my teenage sister-in-law recently. I thought some new exercises and workouts from the same author would keep me motivated, but so far Fashionably Buff doesn't seem to be as good.

The first half is advice about choosing clothes for your body type. The advice seems good, but there's little I haven't heard before. It can also be a little confusing. For example, it seems that she's using the word "petite" to mean less curvy rather than shorter-proportioned. Or, on page 35 she suggests narrow or straight-legged pants to look taller, while page 17 said that boot cut creates the appearance of length. (Aren't those the opposite thing? I still don't know what to wear as a short girl!)

The second half of the book is about workouts. Since this book is brand-new, I've read it but not done the workouts yet. I think all the exercises in this book are new, and not repeats from Brides. She gives helpful advice about equipment, getting started, and balancing muscle-building exercise like this with cardio. After this type of general information, instructions for 7 workouts follow, each geared toward looking good in a particular article of clothing: tank top (upper body,) jeans (backside,) bikini (abs,) etc. #7 is "The Total Buff Body Promise". This is an overall workout with five exercises, and promises "a firmer, buffer body" in six weeks if you complete the workout 4x per week. Again, I'm a little confused. Page 66 talks about always exercising each of 8 major muscle groups, so as not to focus on certain ones and cause imbalance. However, the way the workouts are put together seems to encourage you do to the opposite: pick one and focus on one group of muscles to make one area of your body look better.

Unlike Fashionably Buff, Brides taught a wider variety of exercises, and then arranged them into a suggested plan of workouts, so you had a new balanced combo 3-4 days a week, every 2 weeks, in 12- and 24-week programs. It also had more specific suggestions on weights and reps at different fitness levels. With this, Total Buff Body Promise has you doing the same 5 exercises 24 workouts in a row! It's less real content - but, it may work...

Other comments: the binding doesn't look any different than my Brides book, which lost pages. The black-and-white pictures will be helpful in learning the exercises, but are pretty grainy. It looks like weights and an exercises ball are the only equipment you'll need to have. I still like that this author is realistic, and encourages being happy with and making the best of the body type you have. I think this book promotes a healthy body image and lifestyle.

Comfy for walking, and a nice looking pair of shoes, too

I've had my Ryka shoes for a few weeks now and I love them. No, wait. I adore them! The first time I pulled them on I was surprised. I usually wear big, clunky biker boots, so maybe that's factored in here, but they felt so light. These shoes feel almost like you're wearing nothing. And--as cliche as it sounds--they're like walking on cushions of air. I've owned many different pairs of workout and walking shoes over the years, and these are not only the most comfortable, but also the most stylish. I wear them on my regular walks, plus to the gym (where I do cardio 5 times per week in addition to my weight training). I sometimes just set these shoes up on my desk to look at them. I can't get over what a good looking shoe Ryka has designed! I'm glad I didn't go with the Mary Jane style (which, though I'm sure are comfy, just don't look all that nice; what can I say? I want a shoe that's functional AND great looking).

Where have all the good Ryka shoes gone?

I have bought many, many pairs of Ryka shoes over the last ten years and this one is ahuge disappoinment. I have this same style in white and so the black seemed a natural to purchase too. Something is different about it and it does not fit the same way that the white pair does. These leave my feet aching. So I wonder if this is a "second" or one that did not make the regular quality control? I only wear these now when I am outside and am going to get dirty since they are black and do not show the dirt. Good for mowing the yard on a riding lawn mower if you understand what I mean. Do not buy these if you have been happy with Ryka in the past as they are not the same shoe that you have loved.

Ryka shoes are so great! I have been wearing them for several years now, and I can always count on them to fit well, be comfortable and last. They are known for having more toe room, and a thinner ankle, and that's just what I need. No slipping and I get no blisters, and there is always wiggle room! I would recommend this shoe to anyone. I wear them to work because I'm on my feet all day walking. I'm a heavier person, and they hold up just great.

Great Bra

I bought this bra for riding my horse to minimize the bounce. I normally wear a 38D the cup size was perfect. The band is loose on middle hooks, so will order a 36D to see if that makes a difference.

I only wish 2 things:
1. That the straps were a bit more narrow so you can wear a tank top w/o straps showing.
2. That the cups had some more padding to allow for better coverage.(I bought some nippies they help)

Difficult to put on and take off

This bra is way too difficult to put on and to take off. I had to have my hubby help me put it on to workout and I also had to have his help to take the bra off. I purchased the 32D and but really needed a 28 or 30 band size but Champion doesn't carry smaller band sizes. I also had to take the underwires out of the bra as they were uncomfortable. Once you are able to get it on and take the underwires out of the bra, it is pretty comfortable and sturdy so I gave it 3 stars for being comfortable and sturdy. If my husband or no one else is around to help me put the bra on or take it off on the days I want to work out, it is just too much trouble so I have to find another workout bra to wear that those days.

I'll keep looking for another good workout bra.


Best Sports Bra

This is by far the best sports bra available for women with a large cup size (I don't know how to tactfully word that :) This bra is not for lounging around, but rather for high impact workouts - running, cardio, etc.

The underwire with the mesh overlay and razerback crossed style in the back provides exceptional support and compression. I have tried other sports bras designed for large cup sizes and was generally underwhelmed by the support. If you've never work a cross-strapped razerback styler sports bra before I would highly recommend it.

I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that the straps are adjustable (unlike an enell). If you feel you are not getting enough support in the vertical lift then you can adjust the straps to make fit tighter.

The bra is a challenge to get into and out of because the bra is very fitted and basically a complete unit except for the bottom hook in the back, which is below the razerback straps. While initially you may feel like a contortionist, I now can get it on and off without issue.


So disappointed...

I bought this bra because Champion no longer makes the bra that I love - so I tried to replace it with another Champion bra. This bra is so difficult to put on and remove that I literally had to recruit my husband to help both times I wore it! It has a powerback and hooks - it must be donned over the head then hooked in back. Trying to pull a fitted, not too stretchy bra with a ton of underwire around the shoulders and over the breasts then hook it behind the back is just too much trouble! The support is good, although it doesn't fit me nearly as well as the old Champion model. Unfortunately, this will not be the new favorite Champion bra that I was hoping for.

6 Years Later I Still Love It

I've been working out to this DVD for 6 years, and it still pushes me. Karen Voight gives suggestions for changing the difficulty levels on the exercises, and her timely little reminders to keep your tummy tucked in or square your shoulders keep me on track. I have solid abs, no back pain, and a firmer butt. The best part- I can do the entire DVD in 20 minutes from warm up to cool down. I highly recommend this as the best workout DVD for beginners to those just looking to maintain. It's the best money I've ever spent on exercise.


Ok, could have been better

I have other videos of Karens and so I am very familar with her teaching style and workouts. I found this particular workout to be on the easy side for her. Many of her workouts are challenging and you feel it after but this was not that challenging for me and the length was short.
I have done stability ball workouts from a fitness show on tv that were much more challenging.


Short but boring

I'm giving this DVD 4 stars because it was what I wanted...a short workout for when I'm pressed for time. But other than that, I am agreeing with everyone who said it was boring, because it is. I have another of Karen's videos and it is shot on a beach with fabulous scenery and it just changes the whole tone of the video. This one is just blah with a boring set and boring music. It's okay for what I wanted it for, but if you're looking for something jazzy and motivating, keep looking.

Great for Getting Started!!

If you are trying to get a new workout routine going or just want to try something else this DVD is awesome! The 10 min workouts are an easy way to make sure you get in a little bit each day. Honestly, though, there have been several times when I said I would just do 2 and before I knew it I'd done all 5 workouts. It feels so good and the flexibility routine is a good way to strech out the muscles after each workout. As an additional note, if you're looking for an intense workout or specifically want to tone something this may not be the right dvd for you. It is intense on endurance but it will still help you tone and trim a little.


Excellent for the Novice

I have bought the 10 minute solution DVD's because as a single mom who works full-time I have very little time for me and I don't have the convenience of going to the gym. These workouts are great. I use them more for getting up and moving than thinking they are going to re-create my body. I feel great and I actually can see results in terms of toning muscles. I usually do 2 or 3 workouts at a time and I generally work up a sweat when I put my heart and soul into them. My favorite workouts are the ones using the fitness ball. They are not so difficult that a novice can't use them but I am sure they are not what you would be looking for if you are an expert. I love this DVD and wish there were a few more out there I could buy.


Good workouts between ballates classes

This DVD is a good product. I especially like the fact that you can customize your workout. The Upper body and core workouts are my favorites. They could be a little more challenging but you can feel that your muscles are working. The teacher is very nice, you feel like working with a friend...The music is a bit dull.

It's a good solution when I want to exercice between my ballate classes.

This is a perfect workout for me- it's fast, effective, you can mix & match workouts, & she is an excellent teacher. I am brand new to using an exercise ball, but it is easy to learn & makes the muscles burn like I never would have believed before. It's a good DVD, and doesn't overwhelm you like a lot of others. Good exercises for beginners. She is very chatty, and sometimes her voice is just plain creepy. But she does keep you motivated.


Great workout!

I love Denise Austin's videos, I have her pilatese video as well! Her video has a great deal of arm strengthening exercises, which is good, however I personally was looking for even MORE abdominal exercises than were presented in the video. In general this video is a great workout especially when used in combination with some serious cardio. I believe that anyone can see results with this video, but a healthy diet and cardio are definitely required. Unlike Jillian's videos where you get a total kick in the butt after one workout.


Excellent Toning!

I love this workout DVD for toning, and accomplishes what you need to tone up those trouble zones! I have never really experienced working with the stability ball, but this DVD has me hooked! I just love Denise- she is motivating and very genuine. I think her videos are the best and because she switches up the exercises so frequently- you are like- wow am I done already? And then I feel so motivated, I do another segment, video or take a walk. So in addition to finding her DVDs very user friendly (especially trying to get back into shape), it really has helped motivate me for weight loss and exercise beyond the time using the DVD. One word to the naysayers- if you don't like her personality- why did you buy the DVD? She has been doing this 20+ years and she is who she is and I love her for it!


Love it

I got this video a long time ago and loved it. However it has been changed since the original copy was made. One of my favorite squat exercises was removed. Gives a good overall body workout and shows results if you keep up on it. I have always loved this video. I lost my first copy and had to buy it again


Good toning video

This is a good toning and strength training DVD if you already have a cardio DVD. It is good alternate this DVD with a fat-burning DVD. You will need two hand weights and a stability ball for this DVD. Stability ball really makes the workouts more effective. After using this DVD for several days, I realize how out of shape my abs are. I have no problems with the upperbody and lowerbody workouts, but the ab workout really kills me.

Dust off the Stability ball - if you are looking for a differnt style exercise for it

I had a bit of trouble with my rating because there are several issues I can see using the term "for beginners" with this DVD.....

Beginners -- well to Pilates? Stability ball? Exercise in general? Depending on what you pick I would give a different answer.

Pilates -- I would say Yes - I own maybe one other Pilates and do not use it, so at least this caught my attention enough not to give it away. I felt the instructions were clear, demonstrated well and easy to follow. I would say a beginner could follow this.

Stability ball -- sitting on the fence on this one. I got this because I just don't have many DVD's for the ball and wanted to expand the use of the equipment. That said she is OK on the basic instructions. I think someone who has never used the stability ball could be unstable and would tend to give up.

Exercise in general -- No I would not say beginner - I could see trying to stabilize on the ball and follow the Pilates moves would send the user to the floor more than once.

I think this is a nice workout with great moves for toning, flexibility, and breathing techniques. It has the capability to bring your heart rate up. It is a nice add for an experienced fit persons library.

I really enjoyed this workout. Lizbeth Garcia is great teacher, she makes it comfortable for the audience to be there even though we are in our homes. Some instructors are loud and obnoxious, Lizbeth is the total opposite. You will enjoy it.


Challenging but do-able

I use this DVD on the days when I don't feel like exercising. I listen to Lizbeth Garcia's encouraging voice and then I push myself to do it. The movements are challenging, but you know what? If you can't do it (i.e. teaser on the ball), then you roll up to the point where you feel comfortable. It's a very relaxing way to do pilates. The DVD is 30 minutes long with 8 minutes of extra bonus (they are even more challenging.) Very do-able and very effective.

Fast Results

I've been alternating the upper and lower body dvds as well as throwing in the abs workout and adding the Code Red a couple times a week for the past 6 weeks. I have also been walking 3-5 miles 3 times a week and closely monitoring my diet.
Results: I am 5'8" and started out at 159 lbs (I have a 5 month old and did absolutely nothing but eat during my pregnancy and got up to 180lbs. My normal weight is around 140lb. I've lost about 15lb and 5 inches in my hips and 3 inches in my waist and I have gained so much energy. In fact, I am about to purchase Chalean's Turbo Fire because I've really come to enjoy working out and I want to take it to the next level.
Now the cons...the music is crummy and Barry can be incredibly obnoxious. I really like Cindy, the trainer who is actually performing the excersises with you. I also wish it didn't require all the extras like the transformer and power handles. Storage is scarce in my house and the really take up a lot of room.

All in all, it is a great workout and a really great starting point b/c every excersise is modified for beginner, intermediate, and advanced.


Best Workout to Lose Inches

I recently bought this system and I am SHOCKED by the results. After the first six workouts, I lost an inch off my hips & waist. Keep in mind, I'm not new to exercise and I'm within 5 pounds of my goal weight. It's an intense workout, but it's worth the effort. I'm so glad I bought it!


Great Program but DANGEROUS

A couple weeks into this program, which I otherwise like a lot, the black resistance band broke suddenly while I was exercising, and nearly took out my left eye. Vision is still blurry and I hope it heals up fine but thought I'd warn others that this product has a serious flaw. I may resume with the green band but I'll be wearing racket ball eye protection. This product should not be sold, in my view, until this problem is fixed. Not to mention that the black band broke after only a couple of weeks!


Very good product, but pretty difficult

I don't know if I am pushing too hard, but this thing kicks my butt.

I have only been doing it for two weeks, just alternating the upper and lower workouts (taking off two days a week randomly). I see pretty drastic changes already, especially in the wife. We are not losing weight, but seriously shaping up.

If I were coaching a tennis, soccer, baseball team, I would buy 10 of these and start off the practice with this workout...it can be found for about 20 bucks on another site.


equipment keeps breaking

This seems to be a great workout DVD system, and I do like doing it but my equipment keeps breaking! I have never been able to make it through a full 30 days because something breaks everytime. Within the first couple days, I believe day 3, the "Transformer" exploded while I was using it. Because I was within my trial period the company did replace this at no cost to me. Also, the DVD's were not the best quality the mission specialists on both DVD's skip badly. So, I get my replacement transformer and try to start again, this time the power handle resistance band snapped. By this time my trial period was over and I had to replace this at my own cost, another $10. I really liked the workout so I paid it. But, here I am again, Day 8 and another resistance band has snapped. I will not be replacing it again, I will just go to the store and get a better quality one that may last more than a week! To conclude, I really do enjoy the workout but expect to replace your equipment to be able to continue these workouts.

Prettier than it looks!

The picture does not do the ball justice. In the picture it looks dull and murky and not nice. It's actually very pretty! A nice, rich, shiny purple. Very happy about that!

I'm rating this ball with 5 stars overall, but I'll do a bit of a breakdown on how I rate individual aspects of this purchase.

The ball itself: 5 stars - Like I said, it's gorgeous, seems very well made, and seems sturdy. I just got this ball today, so I don't know how it holds up over time.

Shipping: 5 stars - Ordered it the night of the 13th, got Free Super Saving Shipping (ordered another item), it was processed and sent on the 14th, and received it today on the 18th. Considering the 15th and 16th were Saturday and Sunday, I consider that remarkably good shipping time.

Instructions: 1 star - There weren't any. At least not for how to pump the silly thing up. Finally had to look it up online. Mildly frustrating.

The foot pump: 3 stars - Once you read the online instructions on how to use the pump, it's very simple to use. But VERY poorly made. The plastic hose has a seam, which wasn't properly sealed, so it had a hole in one part of it. I taped it up with some masking tape and it worked just fine. For being brand new, I feel I shouldn't need to make repairs to things prior to use. Took me less than 10 minutes to pump it up.

Packaging: 5 stars - Everything was neatly packaged and I found no damage to the box or product.

So overall, I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.

Good Ball, Horrible DVD

I've been buying exercise balls left and right trying to find a good one. Most were too small, or too cushy. I found this one on sale at Big 5 and it's definitely got the most stability and I don't feel my knees coming up when I sit on it. However, the DVD that comes with it was cheaply made and the instructor is boring and not very thorough. She teaches you things like lunges, but only on one side before the DVD cuts to the next exercise, where she's already set up.

Would have given it four stars if not for the DVD.


Which GoFit Ball is right for you? Three different models

Comparison of three GoFit 65mm balls PLUS three other brands. All were 65cm, except the Everlast. I compared material weight, texture, weight rating, odors and pumps.

First up, #1: GoFit "Premium" model no, GF-65BRBall, ©2009. Second, #2: GoFit "Ultimate", model no. GF-65BrBall-B ©2008. Third, #3: GoFit "Professional". Fourth, #4: Everlast "Burst -Resistant Fitness Ball no. EX3584YE, yellow 75cm " and finally, Fith, #5: Valeo 65mm. All included pumps and DVD's. Cost: Three green Lincolns out the door at Big 5 Sporting Goods thru Feb 2010 on all except GoFit "Pro".

Quick Summary: My final choice was #1, the purple 65cm ©2009, GoFit "Premium" model no, GF-65BRBall (no suffix-B) Note: this is not the same as the "ultimate" model in this Amazon listing, rather, it is Big5 SKU no. 04052742 and UPC 6 87339 20270 3. Not sure if Amazon sells the GoFit "Premium". GoFit "Premium" was the only one, other than the GoFit "Pro" (available from Amazon), that resembled health club quality to me. Yet, "Premium" was only a fraction of the price and best value for it's 1,000 lb weight capacity, low odor and sturdy material. The "Ultimate" model in this Amazon listing is rated at only 600 lbs. Some balls have "burst-resistant" or "xxxx lbs. weight rated" on the package. The so called "burst-resistant" Everlast 75cm was only rated to 330 lbs compared to the GoFit "Premium" rated at 1,000 lbs. "Burst-resistant" supposedly means that the ball will not suddenly deflate. A higher weight rating seemed more relevant to me. The GoFit Pro is rated at 1,200 lbs but was three times the price. Two other ways to measure the quality: Open the box an rub two layers between thumb and index finger, or, compare the deflated ball weights in each hand. I believe that GoFit Premium and GoFit Pro will be more puncture resistant than the others owing to heavier, thicker material. Both should also be highly suitable for chair use.

Textures and weight: smooth vs. textured. All the store brands, including the GoFit "Ultimate" had textured material. Only GoFit "Premium" and "Pro"models have smooth material. I prefer the smooth vs. the sticky rough material for several reasons. Ease of cleaning; did not stick to my body; thicker material; seemed less likely to puncture. Note: Ultra-light weight, high end backpacking tents are now made of thinner, lighter , costlier materials, so light weight doesn't always correlate to low quality or low strength. Still, my expensive Mountain HardWear, although light and strong, does puncture easily. GoFit "Premium"= 1,000 lb weight vs. Everlast ex3584ye10LtKRB = 330 lbs Vs. GoFit "ultimate" = 600 lbs. Others- not weight rated on box.

Valve: There is only a hole, not a true "valve", in most of these fitness balls. Make sure that your ball comes with at least one plastic plug in the box. My GoFit "Premium" had one already inserted in the air entry plus a spare. Nothing worse than pumping these things up and finding out that the plug is missing.

Core Stability vs. Fitness vs. Therapy balls: Seems to be different names for the same thing. Correct me if I am wrong here.

DVD's: Both the GoFit "Premium" and the "Ultimate" came with a 25 min "Linda Leene" DVD. The Everlast comes with a DVD entitled "Greatness is Within", EX3582, unknown running time. I did not watch either video. FORM, FORM. Technique and Form: It is most worthy to note that proper technique and form are required when exercising. I had the benefit of a physical therapist to correct me. What seemed intuitive on my own was actually not correct form at all. I am strengthening quads, hamstrings and core muscles. It is probably well worth a few dollars to have a professional observe and correct your form and technique from the start. Anyone can do it right at any age. Also, performing certain exercises in combination with a MediCare approved neoro-muscular-stimulator will boost your re-hab. If your MD prescribes an electrical NMI, and your P-T trains you in it's use then use it at home in combination with your ball, and perhaps ankle weight straps. Just remember, form is everything. Go easy the first few weeks. Your progress will amaze you in just a few weeks. You can watch a DVD but that is probably no better than reading an exercise pamphlet. If you have children, by all means, get interested in using a ball at an early age. Many injuries can be prevented in the first place if the body is well toned. Balls work many groups of muscles at once. They are the single best life long friend anyone can have at any age.

Pumps: My choice, GoFit "Premium" came with a foot, rater than a hand pump, although the pump was not a deciding factor for me. "Ultimate" and "Premium" comes with the same pump, a foot operated bellows type. The G-F bellows foot pump is nothing to write home about and appears disposable in quality... but, it worked very well one time. Simply plug the included poly ribbed hose in to the bellows, then select the included nozzle to fit the ball inlet. Insert and pump by foot. Toward the end of the pumping, I had to use the bellows like an accordion between my hands. I may have over-inflated it. No instructions for filling were in the box. Other evaluators have mentioned that you should inflate partially and leave over-night until the storage wrinkles disappear. I pumped away until right out of the box trying to rid the wrinkles. Go with the two stage , overnight method to avoid over stretching the ball in the first pumping. The other brands had hand pumps. If you need to fill and deflate for storage often, then buy a high volume electric air mattress pump. They are cheap and come with suction mode for deflation. Do not use a high pressure tire pump because they will take to long and can easily damage the ball.

Odors and volatiles: The GoFit "Premium" was totally free of volatile odors detectable to me. If you have high sensitivity to volatiles, understand that some are odorless. Generally, I always choose natural over synthetics whenever I can. Not an option for me in my three green Lincolns sale price range. The Everlast, made of thin, textured material had a strong odor in the wrapper. This one went right back on the shelf.

Great Ball, Great Accessories, Great Price!

The title says it all. My only complaint is that the stem that holds in the air is difficult to remove even with the little tool they provide. I suppose if it came out too easily my complaint would be much more negative because then it wouldn't stay inflated so I will accept this lesser of the two evils. Comes in a neat box with the accessories that stores nicely under my desk (I keep it at work to sit on) and keeps my foot pump at the ready whenever needed.


Good ball

It is a great ball. I use it to sit on it and do my work or exercise with it. Also, what I can't understand it said it is 600-pound body ball but when I bought it..it was written for 300-pound body ball. Other than that the ball is the same exact thing in the picture.


Great Ball

Just got this excercise ball and it's really nice. One question though, what does 75cm mean? I measured the inflated ball and it measured 50 cm (20 inches) high and 165 cm (65 inches) in diameter. I wanted a taller ball with more width, but this one is really nice if you are looking for one 20 inches high.


This is a good one

I purchased this ball for 2 reasons, 1. I am about 6ft tall and it does go by height, when you use one in a gym they don't often have one sized for tall people. 2. If has a 600 lb limit...not that I am 600 lbs, but I am heavier and I wanted to know I had a sturdy ball, beyond my weight. It was easier to pump up than I thought, there were no instructions per se, but it's not rocket science. I noticed afterward there was an instruction on the plastic covering the pump on which end to place the tubing. The pumping just takes a little time, and I am so glad they give you the tape to measure the circumference, or I would never have blown it up enough. You think it looks done and you still have a ways to go. I was still shy about 5 or 6 inches, but it seemed good. I like that they give you a little tool to lift the pin out of the ball to start pumping, and they give you an extra pin in case you lose it. The DVD is one of those mini ones, I haven't looked at it yet. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

good intentions bad photos

I think the excersises would be very beneficial. Problem is the black and white photos are small and hard to make out. The written descriptions are fine as far as they go but it's hard to know exactly how to do them without better photos.

i am a personal trainer, and have just taken up golf this summer...this book is basically a 6 -pt evaluation and has several exercises listed to fix each..really about 2 minutes of reading for someone with a reasonable knowledge of exercise..i was hoping that it would have some insightful biomechnic info, but it doesnt..eval was BASIC to say least.. good quick read maybe useful for someone w/ minimal exercise experience..not a fan of authors writing style humor..sorry.. it gave me a few idea

This is a terrific book. I wanted to take a Pilates class but didn't have time to join. This book has allowed me to do my own workout on my own time. It starts with the basics to make sure you are doing things properly. From there you can add more difficult or complicated exercises until you have a complete, challenging workout. This is the best workout ever!

Not that great

This book was okay, it wasn't anything spectacular. I had been doing pilates for about a year when I bought it because I wanted to try something new but this book really didn't challenge me all that much. I suggest Siler's Pilates Body instead which doesn't use a ball but is basically the best book on Pilates I have ever read.

This is a geat workout! But be aware all you Turbo Jamers, this is much more difficult then any of the other DVD's. I can pretty much breeze through the other DVD's, while this one left me panting and sore. Of course, this is a good thing!

What I really like about this DVD is that it is so different from the other Turbo Jam workouts. I really like Turbo Jam, but Jamers know that each DVD is pretty much the same; same movements just changed up a bit. Also, sometimes I feel that each section is just a little too repetitive. Not so with this DVD. This was a refreshing change. I like it!

I just recently received this DVD did the workout and I can't believe I paid 42.99 for this, anybody know why this one was so expensive compared to her other workouts. I did break a sweat, probabley will do it again. I am big fan of her other DVD,s, I own 3 others. Maybey I expected so much more for the price I paid, I guess I feel ripped off, this one is not as fun to do. I would not recommend this DVD especially for the price you pay.

I own most of the Turbo Jam videos, and today I did Total Body Blast for the first time and it was AMAZING! I love all of Chalene's videos, but this is the only one so far that has actually left my arms and shoulders feeling sore! I would have never known that a ball would make me work out even more than the weights! It's a longer workout, 60 minutes, but definitely worth every second!!! The entire 60 minutes are in intervals mixing cardio and abs, using the ball in every section, from warm-up to cool down!

Love it!!!!

This workout is really great! I love how she works the ball in, some cardio, then ball work, back and forth. It is a 60 minute DVD, but really doesn't seem like it! It is a must to your Chalene Johnson collection. I wish she would do more DVD's with the ball. The ball gives you a really good workout! The music is good. This is another one that I include in my favs. You will want to add it to your collection.

This is the hardest and most intense of the turbo jam DVDs i love this video it is way better than the other ball DVD because you use it the who time i definitely recommend this video you will get an incredible work out! It sculpts the shoulders and the abs with some lunges as well.

I love this thing. I'm still learning about all the new ways to incorporate it into my at home pilates workouts- tons of info on poses and stretches online. After reading the reviews of many similar products (that said they were questionable quality and deflated quickkly) I'm glad I spent a few extra bucks on this ball. The ball is much smaller than I thought it would be. The DVD is so fast paced that by the time you arrive in the positions the instructor is already out of them. The abrupt ending to the program is absolutely terrible... It is an OK work out, but I do not like the DVD.


Not worth the money

This product is a joke - its not worth the money asked for - the DVD in the box did not contain enough and barely required the ball to do the exercises - I actually thought that I was purchasing a pilates squishy ball not a hard unweighted ball. I do not recommend the purchase of this product.


Disappointment

Although I am looking forward to utilizing this ball, the DVD was a BIG disappointment. Most of the exercises are contraindicated for anyone with degenerative disc disease in the cervicals and/or the lumbars and vertebral stenosis.

Like it or not sometimes, you are the role model for your kids. They will eat like you, talk like you, and do just about everything else like you - until they're teenagers, when they'll want to do exactly the opposite! With that in mind, understand that your kids will pick up their health habits from you as well. If they see you on the couch with a bag of chips on your lap, they'll tend to do that themselves. If they see you working out, they'll want to get involved. Finding ways to get your kids involved in your home workouts can be a little tricky and a bit challenging, but with a little effort, everyone can get a good workout!

Take a Walk

With infants, this is a great way for you to get a workout. Strap that baby in a backpack and take a brisk walk. With toddlers, it gets a bit more tricky, but you can find inventive ways to get them out in a stroller so you can still get a good walk in. When they kids get a little bit older, they'll want to walk with you and this will slow you down. But you can involve them in the process of planning the route.

Play a Sport

Get the kids out playing basketball in the driveway. Throw the baseball in the back yard. Jump rope with your kids. Learn a new sport with them. Learn to throw a lacrosse ball or go to the local tennis court and hit the ball around. You don't have to have a structured game to get the benefits of the exercise.

DVD

If you have a favorite workout DVD, get the kids to join in with you. Instead of working out while the kid are in school, wait until they get home. Make it part of their afternoon or evening routine, along with homework and music practice.

Support Your Child's Interest in Sports

If your daughter wants to play soccer, that takes an enormous time commitment from the parents. But it's a great way to show her that her fitness and activities are important to everyone. A great way to use the hour while she's practicing is to take a walk around the soccer park. Get some other parents involved and maybe you'll even make some new friends!

Teaching your kids to build fitness into their daily lives is a great gift for them. Demonstrating how to live a healthy, active lifestyle can help everyone keep in shape.

Not only does it help keep the whole family in shape but it is a great way to build family bonds and build relationship between siblings or parents and kids. There is no interaction with TV, but when you get outside and walk, play sports or games and do other activities you will build on your relationship in great ways. This will also be a great way to see what type of activities your kids are interested in. You may be surprised that they like other things then you thought.
