Product works better than I do

Exercise is hard work. Pilates is not easy. As long as my remaining VCR holds out, I'll keep trying pilates. I'm still working on the basics. The Bun & Thigh Sculpting, Ab Sculpting, and Accelerated Body-Sculpting will have to wait until I'm in better shape. If you're in good shape and want the Winsor Pilates series cheap, this is the way to go. But as a former couch potato, I feel well past my prime after a workout. It's both good and bad.

It is fun! You can alter it to what fits you best. It is colorful.
You can be intense and burn lots of calories or just go through the movements and get used to the exercises.

The ONLY thing I didn't like on my particular VIDEO was the voiceover was not Beto's.

From what I understand, Zumba is a Brazilian slang word for 'fast.'

great workout

I did a couple of Zumba classes at a local gym and like them so decided to have a video at home to do more for less money. This is a little more complicated than the ones at the gym but I think I will be able to follow it after a few more times using it. It's certainly not easy but a lot of fun and you really work up a good sweat. It's a full 60 minutes, with about 40 minutes of dance and 20 minutes of toning and cool down. If you don't know Zumba at all it will be difficult to follow. It might help to get the basic one first and move up. I may even buy the one that shows the basic steps and then move on to this one to get the good work out because they explain very little on this video. I think they expect that you already know the moves. The time goes really fast and you don't feel like you're working out, except for the sweating.

Nice Hip Hop Throwback

The MTV Grind Workout: Hip Hop Aerobics is a decent video if you like hip hop and putting small moves together to form a dance routine.

The instructor Linda Nader is upbeat and not overly irritating, she tries to show you all the steps as simple as possible and then jumps right into the move. The dancers are extremely annoying (especially the Danielle chick) as they get their moment in the sun by hitting the moves with too much extra effort, proving they are professionals and making you feel inadequate because you can't dance as good as they do. Eric Nies has no reason for being there (maybe just eye candy) because most of the time he is not in sync with the steps and he seems like he doesn't know what moves are going to be next. (He must've missed a couple of rehearsals!)

The complete routine consists of a lengthy warm-up, the actual dance sequence and a cool down followed by an ab workout, which I haven't even bothered to look at yet. The warm-up has lunges, stretches, foot taps and hamstring pulls while the dance number takes you back with moves such as the pepperseed and the "Creep" from a TLC video. The cool down has you balancing on one foot along with other moves that effectively bring your heart rate back down.

Overall, the video is great for someone who is just getting back into their exercise routine and wants to rev it up a bit. But for me it was just too much because I am completely out of shape and I need something extremely low impact!

A "Hip Hop" down Memory Lane

Years ago, in the 80's and 90's, I loved dancing and I invented dance moves on my own. 20+ years later I don't do that anymore and my body shows. I still "got rhythm". I dug out this video, afraid I couldn't keep up. I was able to keep up with most on the first try and when I couldn't, there are visual reminders to keep moving at their pace. I definitely got a heart workout without getting overwhelmed. I like that the ab workout is separate from the aerobic workout. Basically, you can do the ab workout when you aren't worried about "keeping up" with fancy and quick moves. I also liked that the different dancers had their own emphasis while the instructor stayed on the exercise track.

My only complaint would be that the music could have been louder. If you're going to simulate a club, then the music would have a more sublime effect. Overall, still a lot of fun and good for you.


I miss old MTV workouts...

Even though their Yoga and Pilates series videos are good, I miss the MTV hip-hop inspired cardio workouts! I wish they would make some new ones. :( I disagree with the reviewer that thought the instruction was poor. I followed along with no problem. The choreography may take you a couple of times doing the video, but that's common with dance workouts. I really like the music they use, tracks by Coolio and Naughty by Nature for example. The only thing that bugged me was the marching in place between moves. I think they needed to keep the intensity up higher, but I guess you can do that on your own. This video is about 50 minutes long.


Fun and works!

The workout is alot more fun than any other exersise videos or dvds I have! The music is definitley reminiscent of the mid 90's , but all the songs are still great. The dance moves took me 2 or 3 workouts to totally get down, but it's interesting and always gets my heart rate up. It's alot better than the soundtracks of most workouts.

I really loved the zumba classes at the gym, so I decided to purchase them on my own for home use. The service of amazon was great, faster than I expected. But the videos themselves , I thought, were very confusing. I dont even use them now, because they just leave me frustrated. And He only speaks spanish.

Get on the zumba wagon!

I took my first Zumba lesson at a gym that charged 10.00 per class. I had so much fun. It was easy, the instructor was great. She took her time showing us the steps.

I decided to save money by ordering the dvd's and workout at home. I am by no means, a dancer or even cordinated. I am doing these 3x a week to start off.
I'm still stuck on the beginner dvd, which does take you step by step each move, slowly and then they will pick up pace. I sweat and my heart beat does get up there so I'm ok with stuck on the beginners dvd for now.
I had to stop and reply a lot in the beginner to catch on to the movements. I told myself that it's ok, the more you do it, the easier it will get.

I tried moving on to the next dvd, however, they move so fast and they move their hips so much that the moves barely resemble what I learned on the first dvd and I have a hard time following along. So, until I get the moves down pat, I think I'll be stuck on dvd 1.

I refuse to give up b/c I do love Zumba so much. Just don't get frusturated. Stay at your own pace and it's ok to stop the dvd and go back until you go the moves down. :-) Either way, your working out, your burning calories, and that's the idea, right?

Two weeks in and seeing results

After two weeks of working out to "Total Body Burn" my thighs are firmer and slimmer and I'm still enjoying the workout. I can even see muscles on my arms where it used to be flab.

At times you can hear someone's voice in the background music, but it's not too distracting. I'd highly recommend this DVD to anyone looking for a fun way to work out.


Not as Advertised

I ordered this for my 17 year old daughter, who is really into exercise. The most appealing thing about the advertising was the dance aspect set to current music. It isn't. To us, it looks like every other exercise video with music in the background; but I doubt the music is anything you've ever heard on the radio, as advertised. And that no getting on the ground, wrong. No crunches, but you are are definitely laying on the ground.

After workingout for a month on the Hip Hop Abs, I have lost an 1in 1/2 off my waist and my abs are starting to show. I recommended these videos to all my friends and family. It was actually recommended to me by my best-friend.


Tilt, tuck and tighten!

I do a lot of dvd workouts in the summer months when I return from school as it's too much of a bother to get a gym membership for just the three-four months I'm home. This is by far my favorite set - I look forward to every workout. I'm about fifteen pounds overweight and after only doing this for 8 days (I do not follow the diet plan), I've lost 3 inches around my waist! Also, my stomach is tightening up and you can actually see muscle! My "muffin top" is also slowly shrinking away, which is an awesome perk.

Shaun T. is really charismatic and motivational and keeps me going through every workout. My favorite workout by far is the Cardio Fat Burn since it's the workout with the most dance-routines. I make sure to work that one in every day - it's only thirty minutes and the time just flies by. I also really like how there is a tracker on the bottom that tells you what is coming up (which, I think makes it seem to go by faster, at least for me) and the music is really upbeat as well. I typically do at least two of the workouts per day and with time, I may look into his new program - Insanity. I would recommend this to anyone!


Not the best- A little repetitive

Some of these workouts are very good. The moves are fun but a few are waaaay too repetitive. Seriously the same moves go on and on and on. The music isn't that great either. I thought when i bought this that it would be the hip hop songs i heard on the radio or songs i used to hear on the radio, but nope. Minus these two cons, the program is pretty decent.

Finally, a dance workout for the rest of us! I don't exactly have two left feet, but I'm not a seasoned dancer, either. Too many dance workout videos just progress too quickly, and leave you feeling like a flailing klutz.
Not this one!
Robin Antin put together a choreography that is easy enough to get right, but still fun and sexy enough but be worth doing. Great for beginners! I'm not even a huge PCD fan, and was entirely skeptical when I first noticed this video. I thought it would be just another workout video where you are left behind, to admire how well some scantily-clad girls on screen can dance. But I love this workout! If you get down into it, you will certainly feel it the next day! The moves are sexy, fun, and simple.
If you want a workout that will inspire self-confidence, while learning some hot moves that you can actually take to the club, get this!


Kinda lame.

I get the whole "female empowerment" thing. But, as a woman, I found most of this workout to be kinda lame. Forced sexiness, I suppose. The women in the background were great, but the trainer was a terrible sales woman.. I don't quite know what I was expecting - maybe some clues on how to dance? :)


Lots of FUN

I really don't care what any other reviewer has said. This was a lot of FUN. It was so easy to follow along, yet I was sweating and got my heart rate up. This is the workout DVD of my dreams! Watching those girls keeps me motivated because they all have amazing bodies and they're gorgeous. If you want to do something that is fun and gives you motivation, then you should buy this.

I was skeptical about what this DVD actually had to offer however, now that I have it I couldn't be more happy with my purchase! This DVD teaches you how to loosen up and be cute and playful or a little playfully sexy. The dance choreography is easy to learn and a lot of fun; it's not like some of those other workout DVD's that have you moving in awkward moves that you wouldn't be caught dead doing in front of a mirror much less at a club! You definitely get cardio time and a ton of cute moves from clips of, "Dontcha", "Buttons" and a super cute burlesque piece.

Jazzercise - The Best Yet Live [VHS]

This Jazzercise tape is excellent. The hour workout goes by so fast because it is fun and the muisc is perfect. I begin my routine each morning with a mile or two walk with Leslie Sansone and then I do the Jazzercise routine. THIS VHS NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE IN A DVD FORMAT!

I had this years ago and loved it. Loved the music, loved the moves! Very nice blend of aerobic and light toning. There is some floorwork at the end, as well. I wish this would come out on DVD!


Best exercise video ever!!!

I agree completely with Rizzo (the first 5-star reviewer) completely... I have been doing this routine on and off since the 80's, and to me it far, far surpasses any other exercise videos/dvds I've tried. Judy Misset (sp?), the founder of Jazzercise and the instructor on the video, is upbeat and personable... she doesn't get on my nerves like many of the other instructors do. Instead, she's friendly, positve, and encouraging, and over time you start to feel as if you're working out with a "friend". It's obvious too that the other "students" in the video are truly enjoying themselves!

It took some weeks (months?) for me to be able to get thru the entire tape - it really is quite challenging! But then after several more months, I added hand and leg weights gradually to make the workout even more challenging, especially while doing the low impact format. Misset shows both the high and low impact versions of the exercises, so I don't know why the other reviewer said the tape is dangerous. In fact, one of the students in the video does the whole tape in low impact mode to demonstrate the exercises to us.

This is the only exercise video thru the years that I am able to do over and over and over again without getting very bored, thanks to the great music and inspiration from Misset. For years my morning routine was to get up, have coffee, do this video, take a shower and leave for work by 7:45 a.m. feeling super energized and in a great mood that would last throughout the day! I hope someday this video is offered as a dvd as I'll bet I'll be doing it on and off for the rest of my life!


JUST AN AWFUL WORKOUT, AND DANGEROUS TO BOOT

Thankfully I reviewed the videotape before doing the workout, (which I should have done before buying it), and saved myself megaa bucks in the Chiropractor's office. The movements are over repeated, stressful on the joints, and with a hundred people working out with her, there is no moving around possible at all, which also causes stress on the joints and back.

Now I know why I hated Jazzercise years ago, and I haven't changed my mind. For those that like to dance aerobic, there are many excellent workouts available, but this isn't one of them.


Fun, good music, challenging, rewarding!

Best Yet Live is a 60 minute strenuous challenging jazzercize workout. The video, I believe, is from '85-87 and doesn't have a dated look. Judi Missett, founder of Jazzercise, conducts this workout in front of a very large class. Unlike the standard videos with exercisers, the camera faces the back of the class, who face Judi. She works alone in this segment. Routinely, Judi will choose music (hit songs) even though the music is NOT by the original artists, it sure sounds fun compared to those dreadful techno beat instrumentals we are SO accustomed to working out to. Judi's performance is upbeat and genuine. She communicates frequently, advises the correct movements or demonstrates incorrect moves. When you work with her, you feel like you are in a real class, versus the "Denise Austin" pained and canned performances/pitches. Now, Jazzercise is a departure from the average video workouts. It involves complete body toning, lots of upper torso movements. You don't need to know how to dance, because it really isn't dancing! It is fun aerobic movements, easy to follow, even for first timers. As always, the "lighter side" instruction allows a more comfortable pace. After an effective warm-up, follows an exerting aerobic segment, 20 minutes. Then, a rigorous upper body toning involves some "gold old fashion pushups". Tummy and derrierre work may include 40-50 movements per leg and over 50-70 movements for the tummy. It is not exactly easy, but you could do this with a few trys. I recommend Jazzercise; it is different, fun, and very rewarding.......MzRizz

Didier Muamba brings us a blend of African dance and aerobics like we've never seen before. Complete with live

A Rare Disappointment from Evolution

I love everything Marcus Irwin touches; his ideas are spot on, and he typically refrains from kitsch. His videos are fully fitness and form-focused. The background 'babes' or 'fantastic fours' are typically wholesome, clothed in fitness clothing (street clothes) and just come across as being fully engaged in what they are doing: teaching a real aerobics class.

This is the first disappointment I have had since starting with Evolution videos. The blocks are not clearly articulated. This may be due to Didier's English (quite frankly, I would have preferred the video in French, I know previous Evolution productions have been offered in German). He seems ill at east in front of the camera.

I have taken many W. African, Afro Samba and samba reggae and even Haitian/Caribbean dance. The moves Didier presents ARE decent, W. African variations of classic hi lo moves...so the concept behind the video is great. However, maybe due to Didier's authentically African/absent cueing (I have found this a problem in my classes), this is difficult to follow...anybody used to counting (uh, that would be MOST certified fitness instructors) will be sorely disappointed. Also, the blocks don't progress in any clear way, it feels like you are doing movement, stop, march, stop, okay now move, once again. Very disjointed.

Finally, this is the first time I have heard "sexy" and "seductive" used in an Evolution video. I am NO prude and I understand the cultural/social origins of W. African dance, including fertility connotations. However, this is an EVOLUTION production, not something out of Hollywood California, nor is it an anthropological examination on the role of procreation in W. African dance. The worst part is the girl they have as a backup dancer, his 'baby' Leslie. She can dance, to be sure, but her pants are falling off and the moves she does with Didier are overtly and unnecessarily sexualized. She also looks about twelve, which makes this even more disturbing. What is with the Slo-Mo of her hip grinding at the end of Intro? My ten year old daughter even rolled her eyes.

I do not like the cheap feel of this video. It seems tacky. Everything up until now has been total class. I am a huge fan of Steve, Lindsay, David, Robert, Rebecca and Marcus, can't wait to get my hands on Balasz's step workout. However, this DVD really disappointed me. What is Didier there for, to show sexy dance moves, to bump and grind with Leslie, to teach actual blocks you can implement in your hi-lo class...what IS the focus of this video?

I wouldn't go so far as to say I wouldn't buy this; it might be fun for some people, how much of a workout you can get when there is no momentum, I am not sure. However, if you are expecting the classy, fitness-forward sweatfest you normally get from Evolution, you will be left in a lurch by this production. If you want other types of DVD introductions to the aerobic component of W. African dance, I would suggest Debra Bono, Kukuwa for Caribbean based, and African Healing Dance with Wyoma for the choreographic/interpretive component.

Beautiful dancers, beautiful costumes, beautiful music. As an advanced beginner, this gives me a good combination of things I can do and things that are still challenging. After the workout, they have step by step instructions to help you break down the moves, and there's a list of the music used so you can buy it yourself. There's a lot of material here, and you can watch it either with or without the voice cues. I think it's a worthwhile investment.


Not for beginners.

The dancers are beautiful. The costumes are beautiful. The instruction sucks. This is NOT a video for complete beginners, like myself. I found myself extremely frustrated by the speed of the instructions and the rapid movement from step to step.

The instructors are all wearing long skirts and you cannot see the knee and leg movements they are pointing out to you. It is difficult to copy a movement that you cannot see.

Do not buy this video until you have a firm foundation in bellydance. I'm sure its great for intermediates or advanced.


Fun video but not as easy as it looks

This should be your first work out tape unless you actively do an arobics exercise and are in reasonalbe shape. I found Neon's instruction in the 'step-by-step' section very helpful. This section is great for thoes who do not have any background. For thoes who have background, the section makes a great check and drill. No matter your size, this workout really works out most of the target areas. I think Luscious is a nice but challengin work out for beginners. I am pushing into my one year in belly dancing, and i found this video informative, creative and simply divine. the music is perfect for each section. I never got bored with this workout because of how each dancer lead the section and the different costumes. My arms and thighs alone burned with satisfaction.

Luscious - The Bellydance Workout for Beginners

This is not for beginners--you can't see their feet, they go to fast and they get caught up in their performance that they forget it is supposed to be for beginners. Don't waste your money-- Rania has some better DVD's out there that are really great for beginners.

I did break a sweat but it was because I was trying so hard to keep up and I still was confused and lost. I never knew if my feet were positioned right or not because I could not see their feet. These people should give people who bought this DVD back their money because they misrepresented--it is not for beginners! It is for the advanced--probably those who took their classes.


Perfect basic yummy practice for beginners

If you are brand new to bellydance, I highly recommend this DVD. I have had several bellydance DVDs, and use different ones for different reasons, but I'd rate this one very high in the "practice the basics while enjoying yourself" category ... it gives a very nice fundamental dance vocabulary for your body and dance, to practice and build on as time goes by ... I find all of the teachers and the instructions to be very pleasant and good as well ... There are pointers and some instruction, most especially in the technique breakdown ... It's nice because you are having fun and feeling good while learning and increasing your skill ... Also it provides a healthy dose of how moves affect your body (internal and external) and encourages self expression and Love ... Om Shanti

Disappointed by lack of 'instruction'

I was really looking forward to getting this, and am pretty disappointed.
There is basically no intro, no instructions or time allowed for you to get the steps down. I haven't done alot of workout videos, so that's why i figured I'd go w/ Richard Simmons'.
The DVD jumps right into a routine without any breakdown of the steps at all, so you don't even know what's coming next. I guess you're just supposed to flounder until you get them down. Also, the warm-up isn't until after the 1st routine which seemed a little off to me...
It did get me to work up a sweat, but It frustrated me more than anything since I could barely keep up with the routine changes.
You also need quite a bit of room to do the steps, so my living room was barely adequate. I'll try it again of course, but if you are uncoordinated and need something with step by step instructions, then this might not work for you.


love this workout

I love doing this workout! The whole thing is like 50 mintues and I was surprised to see that there is an ab workout at the end. I like doing workout dvds at home and this was my first "dance" one. The moves are very easy, after 2 or 3 times you remember the order of everything. You don't need a whole lot of space to do it. Richard Simmons is cheesy but motivating. haha After the holidays I definitely plan on buying more.

Fun way to get fit :)

I absolutely love this DVD. I love the warm up, exercise 1, and exercise 2. Sabrina is a great dance teacher, and yes, it does take a few times watching the dvd to get the steps right, but once you learn it, you know the routine, and it's really easy and fun to do. It also gives you a great workout. Not to mention the music. With a lot of other workout DVDs, I don;t think that they have cool music like this one. I really recommend this to people who are 11-15, but not really younger than 11, because it may be kinda hard for them to keep up. But if you are in the age range that I said, it's literally not a hard program, maybe a little quick, but totally worth it in the end. These are super fun dances, that I love to show my parents :)


Trying to get the hang of it is half the FUN!

I think some reviewers are hard on this DVD. If they got familiar with the DVD before rating it, it would help. For instance, there is a section that shows the dance moves. And, maybe it isn't 'on the music' as the one reviewer/dancer expected, but it's not JUST for dancers - it's for EVERY young girl! My daughter (12 yrs) & I had fun trying out the moves. And, I think you have to give them credit for repeating the moves again & again in the first exercise section (Pure Fun). Though, honestly, at first it doesn't LOOK like they are - bcs the moves ARE challenging, so, no, I couldn't keep up... but they ARE repeated over & over!! My daughter kept at it (she has NO kind of dance OR hip-hop training) & SHE GOT IT!! Give it a CHANCE!! It's SILLY FUN, IF you give it half a chance! And, we LOVED that Sabrina included an actual dance video of her own. The thing we didn't understand were the 2nd & 3rd exercise sections. They were ODDLY distracting. The 2nd & 3rd sections were strictly dancing by Sabrina & the backup dancers (not something you could 'follow' along with), but the WORST part was... it wasn't even Sabrina singing, tho SHE WAS singing to the camera. That seemed VERY strange... you were watching HER sing, but it wasn't HER voice, OR her music... you were hearing OTHER music, WHILE she's singing. That didn't make ANY SENSE!! Listening to one thing... while watching another??? But, the message to young girls IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT... & made more valuable coming from someone like Sabrina! I think they handled that quite well for young girls! It's about FUN & MOVING... not being perfect... or even doing it like someone else does! It's about being YOU & ENJOYING who you are!

Well, it sounds good on paper. This is just way too complex for most kids. Sabrina Bryan is 24 and has probably had more dance training than any 10 or 11 year old could possibly have at their young age. It moves way too fast. The set is really boring too.

I got this game about 2 weeks ago and am totally addicted to it. I am overweight and out of shape and really need motivation to get into and keep a workout routine. Using this game, I actually want to do the exercise and even do extra. I would highly recommend to anyone to give it a try.

i just got this game yesterday and im in love with the game. it keeps your body moving and working im surprised how hard i worked on it im a fan of cardio boxing in which they have also samba reggaeton all that and they have tutorial so you can learn the steps and the mini game will also kill you. it a must have on the wii


Excellent collection of dancing, boxing, and mini-games

When Gold's Gym Cardio Workout first came out a year and a half ago, it pushed the bar forward and helped prove that there was a market for Wii Fitness Games. So the question is, does its sequel do the same? I'm happy to report the answer is yes.

Gold Gym Dance Workout consists of three main types of exercises: a pure "dance workout", a "boxing workout", and "mini-games".

In the "dance workout", you perform fast-moving choreographed dance steps using your arms and feet. It's not exactly like "Just Dance" in that the choreography doesn't really contain any "signature moves" for the song. Rather, the dance is made up of a series of basic latin dance steps (i.e., merengue, samba, salsa, reggaeton, and cumbia). You first go through a series of tutorials to learn the steps, and then you put them together through beginner, intermediate, and advanced stages of increasing difficulty and speed. Just as you'd do in a dance class at the gym, you follow the lead of an on-screen workout instructor shouting out steps to you to the beat.

In the "boxing workout", the game has come a long way since its predecessor. Again following an on-screen instructor, you upper-cut, jab, punch, and hook to the beat of music. And thankfully, Ubisoft decided to license a whole slew of popular songs, so you're not stuck to boxing to "Eye of the Tiger" over and over and over. The motion controls are remarkably accurate in detecting specific boxing moves, and the workouts were fast-moving and fun.

I admit that I loved the "mini games". Unlike other fitness games where minigames are an afterthought, Ubisoft seems to have put a lot of thought into these, and I love the touches of humor in the games. There are a variety of new and original mini-games, you can dodge charging bulls (ducking from side to side while holding your Wii remotes), try to balance yourself on a bucking bull (on the balance board), canoeing (using a combination of your Wii motes as a double-plated paddle while sitting on the balance board) and running (basically making rapid punching movements, made more interesting when you get chased by the occasional lion!). There are also a few games clearly borrowed from Wii Fit and Wii Sports resort (chopping things with a samauri sword, boxing a kangaroo, and karate-chopping certain items).

You can either jump into the various workouts immediately, or have your virtual trainer prepare a weekly workout routine for you. You can also choose two-player mode, which lets you exercise along with a friend (there will be two trainers on the screen, and when each person follows their trainer, not only can they compete to see who scores the highest, but to the casual bystander it looks like they're doing a cool latin dance together).

One thing I was impressed with was the accuracy of its controls, which is head and shoulders above previous Wii exercise games. It allows for the use of two Wii remotes. That Ubisoft eschews the use of the nunchuk is a good sign that they've taken accuracy in motion controls more seriously than they have in the past.

The one big thing I wasn't crazy about at first was how very difficult it was to follow and learn the dance steps. The first few times you play the dance workout games, even at the tutorial level it's very easy to get very overwhelmed. You have to basically follow the on-screen trainer and mirror the moves she's making, but she's moving so fast that it's incredibly difficult to follow, especially trying to do it in a mirror image. They provide a series of video and audio cues to help you, but it's still terribly difficult to follow her feet and to match them to yours.

The good news is, for each dance they offer a "practice" mode which breaks down the dance into different sections, lets you review each section, with three different camera angles to view the instruction, and lets you view the whole thing in slow motion. I would definitely suggest playing the entirely in "practice mode" until you get the arm and leg movements down and memorized, and then proceed to the workout. This may take days or even weeks for each song, so if you don't have the time or inclination to do this, you might be disappointed. On the other hand, once you commit the moves to memory, they're yours to do over and over again. And it probably goes without saying that you need a LOT of room.

And so while the game isn't for everyone, I think it's a great new Wii fitness title after a very long string of disappointing ones. Once again, Ubisoft has set the bar, let's hope upcoming fitness titles like EA Sports Active 2, Zumba Fitness, and the Dance Dance Revolution reboot continue to move the bar forward.


Dance workout vs other titles

Why I purchased: We enjoy working out on the Wii and like to keep it fresh by switching programs around. Gold's Gym Cardio Workout and Just Dance both get used at least once a week, and Dance Workout seems (in part) like a mix of these 2 programs.

Pro's:
- Seems more accurate in "getting" your moves than Just Dance if you're using double Wiimotes.
- Latin dance and Zumba type of workouts are fun.
- Interface (Gold's gym desk, etc..) is much nicer than Cardio Workout.

Con's:
- "Tutorial" is terrible. They moved way too fast for us to understand what was going on.
I guess in time we'll learn the moves and do better, but they should have started with a
slower rpm or slower tutorial to get the moves down.
- Not as much fun as Just Dance or Cardio Workout and not as good of a workout either. It's just missing that X-factor.
- Not too much of a minus, but the mini games are pretty useless. They just don't seem to fit into the workout and are pretty lame.

Overall: We gave it a three star because it's a good companion to the rest of our wii workout collection, but it likely won't get used as much. My advice would be to wait until Zumba Fitness comes out (Nov 30) and see which one is better. Also, Just Dance 2 is coming out Oct 12, and if it's anything like the first one, it's a hilarious must purchase.

The tutorials are wimpy, but I'm fine with that. I prefer to learn as I go anyway. I get annoyed by the long tutorials. So far, the game is hard enough to be a challenge, but it's keeping my attention. I am having a LOT of trouble getting it to notice all of my moves. But, that could be user error. I haven't figured that part out yet. It's a great workout, and I am really enjoying it.

Description

"Just 10 minutes every other day!" is Denise Austin's prescription for a flat, defined midsection, and she should know. Despite two babies, she has the abs of a teenage athlete. In this video, Austin presents a gazillion abdominal exercises formatted into three different 10-minute workouts. She gives plenty of instruction, with tips for form, alignment, and breathing, as well as the proper way to perform each move. Exercises target the rectus abdominis and obliques, and are varied enough so that you won't feel you're doing the same workout each day. A few of the exercises seem outdated and are less effective than others. Full sit-ups, little pulsing crunches, and standing twists, for example, don't work the abs as well as regular, slow crunches. And some of the exercises in the third segment could be stressful to your lower back if you don't already have strong abs. But Austin still gets credit for plenty of variety, which is what we want if we're committing ourselves to 10 minutes of abs every other day. --Joan Price

Denise's abs workout

Denise Austin Hit the Spot Abs video is a total thirty-six minutes long and was released on August 17, 1995. The workout is broken into three segments. Segments one and two beginners will have no problem keeping up. Segment three is a different story altogether. Once she gets on the floor I found it very hard to keep up with her and it is more geared towards people who are intermediate and up. Here how the segments breaks down.

Segment One-eleven minutes

A workout mat and a folded towel are needed for Segment One. Denise starts out Segment One lying down with the towel placed under the lower buttocks. She begins the exercises with twenty alternating leg raises and then does nine sit ups with the arms straight out, eight sit ups with the arms crossed at the neck, and ten regular sit ups. Denise repeats the sit ups going four, four, and four for the three different sit ups. The towel is placed under the knees and does twenty-one reverse sit-ups. Denise brings the knees to the right side with the towel still under the knees and does sixteen crunches. The knees come to the left side and she does fifteen crunches. The towel is place in between the knees and she starts off with twelve pelvic tilts; then a sit up is combine with a pelvic tilt and Denise does sixteen of the combination. With the right foot on the left knee Denise does a criss cross of left elbow to right knee twelve times and then the left foot is on the right knee she does a criss cross of right elbow to left knee fifteen times. Denise ends Segment One sitting up and doing some alternating hand stretches.

Segment Two-ten minutes

A workout mat is needed for Segment Two. Denise starts the routine sitting on the mat and begins twelve back tilts; she then switches to where the back is on the floor and back up again for six times. Now lying on her back with the knees bent and the arms straight she does a number of little pulses; to fast to count. Now with the right foot on the left knee, and still lying on your back, she does nine knee\leg raises. She switches her legs and does nine on that side. Next come seventeen regular crunches and ten fast crunches. After that come a combo of crunches and knee\leg lefts; thirteen on the left and eleven on the right. Denise does something with her hands crossed and straight out and does thirty-one reaches to the right side and thirty-one on the left side. Denise then lies on the back with legs straight up and does twenty-two straight arm pulses\reaches. The knees are brought to the chest with the hands under the knees and she rocks herself eight times. Denise ends Segment Two with a back stretch, half-spinal twist done on both sides, and two in & out exhales.

Segment Three-eleven minutes

Workout mat is needed for Segment Three. Denise starts Segment Three standing up with waist twists and switchers to fast, then normal, to twisting with arm punches and finally fast twists. Now with the arm stretch out she begins a series of moving the arms side t side. Then still with the arms straight out and moving side to side she does alternating waist touches. Denise then begins floor exercises. Lying on her back and knees bent she bring the knees in on her back and knees bent she bring the knees in and straight out twenty-two times. Then goes on and does an advanced modified version ten times. Sitting up and knees bent Denise moves the knee left right left and legs straight out and right left right and legs straight out. Denise repeats this several times. Now partially lying down she next does alternating in to out leg stretches. Later in that exercises arms are added. Denise then starts off doing arm curls and later adds back lifts to them. Denise next does alternating arm pulls. She ends Segment Three with thirty-one reverse sit ups with the feet crossed, with the legs straight up twelve sit ups, and the legs are still straight up for twenty-three footprints to the ceilings.

The biggest beef I have with this video is that she does not do equal numbers workouts on the left and right side. If you do ten on the left then do ten on the right. Denise Austin Hit the Spot Abs gets an AA++.

I use these videos multiple times a week! They are the best for toning up the abs. I even bought my mother the DVD!

Denise is perky, but hell we need that sometimes to keep going!

I found this tape at a consignment shop about five years ago...and I am convinced that this is the best ab workout of them all! I just did segment one today and let me tell you-my abdominal area is good and sore! Great video!


Found my abs

My preschool-age kids were no longer willing to sit in the stroller for my work-outs, and so i was not snapping back into shape after this 4th baby. Having never heard of Denise, I bought the tape used. I am so glad i did. After about 2 months of doing 10 minutes every other day, I am 8 pounds lighter and my waistline is "whittled." Even though the routines are only 10 minutes, you may be crying for mercy. But Denise is very supportive, and I do not find her to be overly peppy. The "You did great, I'm proud of you!" at the end of a work-out is a welcome encouragement. Highly recommend.

I LOVE this five-day abs tape by THE FIRM. I've been using it for more than 10 years. I like that there are five different workouts. None of them are more than 9 minutes. So when I'm rushing around getting ready for work in the morning, I know I have time to do my ab workout if I still have 6 to 9 minutes left before I need to leave the house. It helps me rush to be ready on time because I don't want to miss the workout. The music to the videos is a bit cheesy/dated-sounding, but the ab exercises are well choreographed to the music. So the music, cheesy as it may be, makes a lot of sense and helps you get through the workout! Also, I can do abs on my own, of course, but when I do, I end up resting and daydreaming a lot in between and before I know it I may end up taking 20 minutes to do the workout. With the FIVE-DAY ABS tape, I just press play, lie down on the floor, GET THE AB WORK DONE, and then I'm up and outta there .... on my way to work. No time to dawdle! It is perfect for me.

Also, I like that there is a different workout each day, so I don't get bored doing the same thing every day. It's just enough variety, and very effective, which is why I keep at it.

Several years ago, I got a tiny little voice recorder and used it to save the audio for all five sessions. It makes it easy for me to keep doing my abs while I'm traveling. Recently my VHS tape that I use at home has disappeared. I don't know how! It must have fallen down behind somewhere, but I can't find it! I went searching for it online ... thankfully, I found the DVD version of the tape at amazon so I'm going to buy that. I LOVE THIS WORKOUT. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm still using this 60 years from now. At least I hope I'll live that long. :)


Best Ab workout I've tried

This is ABsolutely (haha!) the best ab workout tape I've used! Just simple, effective, difficult but do-able ab exercises, some fitness tapes try to hard to be inventive... gimmicky awkward workouts are impossible to stick to in the long run. But this is just clean, easy to follow ab routines that are short enough to fit into you daily routine. I've been doing 1-2 workouts from this tape every morning for years and I'm still not bored with it!

If you want an ab workout you can actually stick to and stay motivated, this is it!!

This tape annoys me

Okay, so the exercises ARE good. The abs exercises on most of the FIRM tapes that have them ARE good. But I still think it was a mistake ordering this tape for two reasons:
1. It's just a collection of routines from other, earlier FIRM tapes, so to me it pretty much seems like a rip-off. Also, get ready for some OLD ones there - from the time when instructors looked like Kate Moss and even guys were wearing pink and orange aerobics clothes. If you ever felt like you didn't quite enjoy looking at such things anymore - well, then you'll find this tape a visual disaster.
2. Who is this Tracy guy, for heaven's sake?! All he does is introducing the sets of exercises - half naked and looking as unnatural as a diamond ring on a homeless guy's pinky. He's ridiculous, but he's actually too annoying for me to be able to simply laugh at him.
Altogether, this tape was a disappointment and the two stars are strictly for the exercises.

Great for busy schedules!

16 minutes, that's all it takes! This is great for me because I have no attention span and no time. Everyone can find 16 minutes to work out and you actually feel the burn! Workouts are easy and quick, which makes me more likely to do it. My only complaint is the routine gets sort of dull after awhile. It would be nice if there were several different routines and could be rotated. Either way, this video is very good! And hey, for like $6, why not?!


low quality tape, so-so workout

ok, i used these tapes for about a week-- already, they're warping (and apparently i'm not the first person to experience this). the workouts are good for what they are. you will feel the burn, but don't expect quick & dramatic results from 8 minutes. the abs workout is most challenging for me, mostly because it puts a lot of strain on the neck (at least it does for me-- maybe i'm doing something horribly wrong), so my neck muscles were sore after the first couple of times. now i just cheat-- i put my hands in the back of my head for some of the moves instead of leaving them at my side. that helps. re: the buns workout, it's good, but (and again, this might just be me-- i have sensitive skin...), my living room is carpeted, and since most of the moves are floor moves, my forearms started to get really irritated after a few workouts. also, there's really no "counting" in the tapes, really-- you just do the move for 45 seconds or a minute or whatever. the people in the tape do them at different paces. for me, it's confusing, although i can see how that flexibility is useful for beginners who need to go a bit slower. i'd say the workouts are an ok bargain-- they go by fast, and the moves are good. for real results, though, combine them with other workouts or activities. i don't think it's realistic to expect too much from an 8-minute workout...


Not recommended

I was surprised to find that there is only one 8 minute workout on each tape, unlike the Abs of Steel tapes which contain 3 workouts to rotate. The actual content of the tapes varied. The moves on the abs tape were customary and effective, although after doing the same routine daily for a while it would likely lose its impact. The buns video was not as effective and terribly hard on the knees. I had concerns about the form and discontinued doing it to be on the safe side. Both tapes are extremely fast paced and it is important to move at your own speed so that your moves are done safely and properly. Don't try to keep up with the host, he moves much too quickly.Overall, I dont recommend this film. The abs of steel series are a better value with more diverse workouts, and some quick biking will do the backside more good than 8 minute buns.

Fun,easy to follow, and definitely works your abs! The vocals should be louder. I found it is difficult to hear the steps being called. The cardio routine is a good work out. If you are putting forth the effort, you will be sweating. I would recommend this package to someone who is interested in working out at home and wants to concentrate on the abs. A great way to exercise!

Two weeks in and seeing results

After two weeks of working out to "Total Body Burn" my thighs are firmer and slimmer and I'm still enjoying the workout. I can even see muscles on my arms where it used to be flab.

At times you can hear someone's voice in the background music, but it's not too distracting. I'd highly recommend this DVD to anyone looking for a fun way to work out.


Not as Advertised

I ordered this for my 17 year old daughter, who is really into exercise. The most appealing thing about the advertising was the dance aspect set to current music. It isn't. To us, it looks like every other exercise video with music in the background; but I doubt the music is anything you've ever heard on the radio, as advertised. And that no getting on the ground, wrong. No crunches, but you are are definitely laying on the ground.

Tilt, tuck and tighten!

I do a lot of dvd workouts in the summer months when I return from school as it's too much of a bother to get a gym membership for just the three-four months I'm home. This is by far my favorite set - I look forward to every workout. I'm about fifteen pounds overweight and after only doing this for 8 days (I do not follow the diet plan), I've lost 3 inches around my waist! Also, my stomach is tightening up and you can actually see muscle! My "muffin top" is also slowly shrinking away, which is an awesome perk.

Shaun T. is really charismatic and motivational and keeps me going through every workout. My favorite workout by far is the Cardio Fat Burn since it's the workout with the most dance-routines. I make sure to work that one in every day - it's only thirty minutes and the time just flies by. I also really like how there is a tracker on the bottom that tells you what is coming up (which, I think makes it seem to go by faster, at least for me) and the music is really upbeat as well. I typically do at least two of the workouts per day and with time, I may look into his new program - Insanity. I would recommend this to anyone!


Not the best- A little repetitive

Some of these workouts are very good. The moves are fun but a few are waaaay too repetitive. Seriously the same moves go on and on and on. The music isn't that great either. I thought when i bought this that it would be the hip hop songs i heard on the radio or songs i used to hear on the radio, but nope. Minus these two cons, the program is pretty decent.

Great way to start your day

I had a bike accident a while ago that left my shoulder in pain for a long time. Due to problems in my shoulder, I started having tenseness in my neck and upper back. Having not been back to regular workout/biking yet, I have also fallen out of shape. A friend of mine recommended me to try Rodney Yee's Yoga for Beginners to help relax better. She recommended that I could move up to other DVD's as I excelled on this one. As a result, I bought a bunch of DVD's with Rodney Yee as the Yoga instructor. I know I was taking a risk, what if I did not like his DVD's? But, I trusted this individual's recommendations and here I am.

I started off with Abs Yoga for Beginners DVD. I wanted to start off with Yoga for Beginners, but Amazon.com did not have that one available. I haven't tried the other DVD's yet, but if it is anything like this one, I am sure I will like them too. The Abs Yoga for Beginners is absolutely a great way to get your day started. Having done no yoga myself, I did not know what to expect. Rodney Yee is really a great instructor of what to do and how much to do for those who are not as good in shape as he is. As always, you should consult your doctor before you embark on any exercise activity.

Rodney Yee gives succinct directions as he demonstrates yoga. He refrains from excessive talking which helps a lot - especially if you're going to do it everyday like I am trying to do. The music is great and very relaxing, the narration just right. I still have trouble staying in tune with breathing part, when to inhale and when to exhale. But, don't worry, it is all in there, you just need to train your body and mind for the right time and length to breathe in and out. Don't be fooled though, Rodney Yee is in greatest shape and he makes things look very easy. I would recommend anyone doing any kind of activity to always warm up for it at least for 2 minutes; this DVD is no exception to warm up. Stretching and bending over still require warm muscles. And never force yourself too hard. Do as best as your can, and gradually improve yourself when you can.

With Abs Yoga for Beginners, you will get a nice stretch, a good posture and a pretty good abs workout, all in 15 minutes. In a nutshell, I would recommend this product to anyone out there who is willing to give yoga a shot!


Excellent if modified...

I should start this by saying that I have been doing yoga for about a year and working out hard for the same time. I was looking for a difficult, new way to attack my abs, just to mix it up from all the different crunches and weighted ab moves I normally do.

My first time through this dvd, I was bummed. It was not really yoga, but also, very very easy. Anyone could start here. The more I thought about it though, the more I modified it to work for me. For example, one move that you keep returning to is called "staff pose". This pose, you sit with your legs straight in front of you and pressed together. I started keeping my legs slightly off the ground and never letting them touch from the beginning to the end. This is much more difficult.

If you understand how to push yourself harder than further than you ever thought you could go - I recommend this dvd.

Great for Beginners

I bought this DVD because my abs needed toning, and I needed something that wouldn't be too strenuos yet would still be a beneficial workout. I am over 60 and not terribly flexible. Other abs workouts that I've tried were too difficult for me. Rodney Yee is so explicit in his instruction, and his voice is so soothing that I can do these exercises with my eyes closed. At the end of the DVD I feel both productive in helping to tone my abs and relaxed at the same time. Plus, I notice that my flexiblity is increasing. I have to modify some of the poses to suit my physical limitations, but I still notice an improvement in the way I feel and the way my clothes fit.
I enjoy this DVD so much that I bought another Rodney Yee DVD and plan to buy more, just for variety.


AN AB WORKOUT WITHOUT CRUNCHES

This workout although only 26 minutes long has basic yet progressively harder exercises and I definitely felt it working my abs by the end. Beginners shouldn't have any problems with this flowing sequence of poses and as usual Rodney's voice instruction is flawless. I think what I liked the most about ABS YOGA is that this is an Abdominal workout without crunches and I appreciated learning some different moves to help combat the muffin top.

Filmed in Death Valley National Park, the backdrop here is a beautiful desert setting. And although I recognized the ambient music from several other Yee DVD's, its pleasant enough and doesn't distract.

Beginning in a seated position the first part of this workout concentrates on breathing exercises then moves onto your hands and knees for Cat Pose and finally to your back where most of the workout is performed. With repetitions of knees to chest, head to knees and slowly lowering and raising your legs, you begin to feel the burn. Then Rodney leads us through side twists and several Half and Full Boat Poses which get progressively more difficult as does the burn. Towards the end we stand for Mountain Pose and Foreword Bend before sitting again into Staff and Cobblers Pose. The relaxation segment is short but well done and you'll come away feeling tighter and relaxed.

I believe this might be a good introduction to yoga for first timers, giving you a taste of the breathing and energy without overwhelming you with too many traditional yoga poses. And for those who do a regular yoga practice this is a great workout that you will definitely feel in your abs the next day. Namaste.

Good product but might not fit over your mouldings

This seems like a well-made product, easy to put together and I've seen it in other people's houses and they like it. I was very disappointed to find that it would not fit over the wide mouldings on any of the doorways in our 1920s Craftsman house. It will only work over doorways where the mouldings aren't very wide--I'd say less than about 3 inches.


3 workouts all-in-one device

The Iron Gym has been very handy since I purchased it. I have a very tight work schedule. This bar allows me to make the most out of a simple doorframe! The pull-ups, while difficult at first, are very effective. I've also been able to do tricep dips and ab crunches.

Unlike other complaints, I found it very easy to assemble and love that it doesn't take up much space under my desk or closet.


DEFECTIVE and POOOOOOR customer service

WARNING DO NOT BUY!!!!!! I would give -5 stars if I can. This is my first time writing review for any of products I have purchased online. This has to be the worst product I ever purchased in MY LIFE!!! A Long horizontal piece that is separated into two pieces do not align properly; therefore, the top piece that should sit on the door frame is obviously not aligned. I tried to remove the long pieces and now they are stuck. I called the Iron Gym customer service and told them my situation; they told me to send product back to them with MY MONEY + MONEY ORDER of $12!!!! So just shipping alone would cost more than the product. Yes, I got furious over the phone and said something that I shouldn't have said BUT this situation is BS. I would NEVER EVER EVER buy ANY product off Pro-fit AGAIN!

Purvis is a little annoying to listen to, but Im in the fitness industry and have survived his lectures before and they are always informative. Unfortunately, not all of us are blessed with good genes, and some of us have lifestyles that that run contradictory to the sort of rhythm we need to get into to balance work, personal time and a killer six pack. Working out at home, especially on your abs, is a tricky business. The home wasn't built to be a gym and because of that fact, there can be many issues and stumbling blocks in the way of anyone's journey to be an Adonis. I'll be the first to tell you that working out the lower abs is hard, because of the sensitivity of the muscle area, and the fact that there the lower abs builds a resistance to repetitive exercise and is more than likely to plateau. Lower ab workouts also can be excruciating episodes if not done correctly; and injury - even the mildest injury of them all, can halt your routine and leave you something less than desired.

Now, there is no point being all gung ho about it, I think personal tutelage and instruction can go a long way in the initial part to making anyone experts at building a good looking lower ab slate. The two gorgeous (and thin) ladies who launched the Skinny Bitch phenomenon are now putting their legwarmers where their sassy mouths are. This workout, a dance-routine with several options, is a great overall workout that really is fun to do. The authors/class leaders, Rory Friedman and Kim Barnouin, are not professional dancers, and freely admit it--which is part of what makes the workout so fun. The women seem to be having a blast as they add on Jane Fonda-esque moves, building to a very decent cardio workout that targets the rear and the core. "Every woman, no matter her shape, as long as she loves herself and takes care of herself, is a skinny bitch," insists Friedman during the workout. While the phrase may sound harsh to some, clearly it's a motivator and term of endearment to the wildly successful authors--who sweat up a storm on camera along with the rest of us. The routines include a comprehensive warmup, and then a choice of an '80s-based aerobics routine or a more contemporary hip-hop workout, which can be combined or done separately. Those with joint issues will want to wear shoes throughout the routine, though it will make some of the balletic moves a little more challenging. Extras include interviews and outtakes with Friedman and Barnouin, for those who can't get enough of the Skinny Bitch philosophy, and an extremely helpful interview with the mastermind behind the routines, fitness trainer Patrick Goudeau. --A.T. Skinny Bitch has got no rhythm

I was very disappointed in this workout DVD.

1. Moves are not clearly described. I was told to "do the hustle" and I'm sorry, but I don't know what that means. A clear description of what movements were needed would have cleared that right up for me but we don't get that at all. The angle of the camera shots make it difficult to really see what they're doing, which makes it even more difficult to pick up the moves. The "Pimp Walk" was the WORST move for this- I was never able to really get it. As the workout progressed, multiple moves were added on at one time with no warning, which was frustrating.

2. Bad camera work. There were a number of shots that made it almost impossible to see what the instructors were doing with their bodies and as such, I had a hard time picking up the moves that, as was already mentioned, were not clearly described or defined for noobs who wanted to try out something different.

3. Cues were not clear. Instructors would either not call out moves, not count off properly, would call out a movement before it was actually ready to start- the list is long here. Because of some of the moves, I could not always look at the TV screen and the lack of proper cuing made it very difficult to stay with the routine.

4. No one was on the beat. It was frustrating, as there was music playing but no one seemed to actually be working out to it. The side step stuff was always off beat and I found that frustrating as well. As a band geek who actually knows how to keep time, I had to grit my teeth through much of this workout.

5. This was not a challenging workout IN ANY WAY. I barely broke a sweat but spent most of the DVD listening to the instructors talking about how "difficult" it was and how "hard" of a workout it was. This was not hard in any way and I can't even really understand how any of the moves would have targeted any part of my body, let alone my "booty". This was not a challenging cardio workout AT ALL. I felt angry and frustrated afterwards and decided to go for a run just so I could actually break a sweat. The whole thing felt like a waste of time.

I feel like I wasted almost an hour with this DVD- lots of time but very little result for that time.

I will confess that I am not a dancer. I always wished that I was but I tend to be very rhythm-less. I had hoped, based on the DVD box, that this would be something that I could follow and maybe learn how to move a little bit better. Alas, I was wrong.

My only positive comments here are that I did like the two instructors, to a point. They had fun personalities and they really brought a different vibe to the workout than most exercise instructors. Unfortunately, their lack of training and (what I assume is) inexperience made it difficult for me to work out with them.

Two thumbs totally down.

THE WORST WORK OUT DVD!

This has to be the worst work out DVD on the market. The music is terrible and the steps are off beat. The instructor is obviously taking steps from someone in the front right corner. Maybe that person should have come out and teach. These ladies should stick to writing books and avoid at all cost doing work out videos. DO NOT WASTE your money.

Don't waste your money on this, unless if you're really good at picking up movements quickly. I had just gotten it in the mail yesterday, but sent it back today. This is definately for more advanced users. They move fast, and don't even break down to show you what you're supposed to do. If you're good at things like this -- I say, go for it ... but if not, don't even worry about it, because it wouldn't be worth it.

15 minutes of a decent workout

I don't mind that it's just 15 minutes of actual workout, but what I do mind is that the 45 minute chains the workout 3 times back to back so you get to warm up, stretch, workout, cool down and then do it all again 2 more times to get a 45 minute workout.

Not cool. DVD editing is mature enough that the 45 minute workout should have had one warmup and one cooldown and the rest in between the workout.

This is a good monitor. I use it at the gym and it doesn't get interferance from others around me! Love that! Also, the filing and diary features are great. I can look back at the last few weeks and see my averages and total calorie count and time spent exercising.

The Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor is a fun little gadget to help you get motivated to work out. You can track how many calories are burned, and check that you're in your fat burning heart rate zone while you work out.

WIth regards to fit, my wrist is 5 3/4 inches in circumference and this watch fits perfectly. The watch can be adjusted as small as 4 1/4 inches to as big as 7 1/2 inches. The spacing between the adjustment holes is about 1/4 inches apart and there are 19 holes, so there is a wide range of adjustment options. The face is about 2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide.

The stock transmitter is just fine, it came in medium. It slips right under the band of my work out bra and stays there during cycling, running, and Tae Bo. I haven't had a problem with it slipping while I work out, and I work out pretty hard (average 450 calories per workout) and have been working out with it for about 7 weeks now.

The only downside is that the program Polar uses to download your workout information to your computer is not Mac compatible for the F6. So if you have a Mac, make sure to check that the Polar you are purchasing is Mac compatible, as Polar has made some of its newer Heart Rate Monitors Mac compatible.

I would order from this seller again. I ordered my product around midnight on a Saturday and got my F6 the following Monday! Quick!

The watch was new, so it was in excellent condition. It also came much quicker than estimated. The watch works great, exactly as described. Would have preferred a different color for fear the "coral" is going to look dirty rather quickly from all the sweat, but at the time, it was the only color the F6 was offered in.

goes great with sweater dress!

I have enjoyed these leggings so much since I received them as a gift for Christmas (along with KD's sultry sweater dress). I like where they hit me on my torso - not *so* low, like the annoying trendy jeans that seem to be made for 13 year old girls with no hips, and not so high that they give you a wierd line at your belly-button when you wear them under a dress. They're kind of like the 3rd bowl of porridge in "Goldilocks and the Three Bears": 'just right'. Because they're made with KD's signature stretch fabric, they cling to you gently, and move with you beautifully, without sagging at the knees or in the behind. I've gotten countless tights from Target, the Gap, etc. that end up sagging. Who needs sags and wrinkles to add to the junk in their trunk under a dress?! I sometimes wear these to do yoga, in the cooler months, and sometimes lounge in them around the house (my baby loves sitting in my lap when I'm wearing these!), but I also really enjoy wearing them under a dress with boots - you can totally dress them up or down, and they're great either way.

Adam Weiss and AbSmart are Simply Real Smart!

I earlier did a review on the authors other book, The BackSmart Fitness Plan: A Total-Body Workout to Strengthen and Heal Your Back, and had given it to my girlfriend to use as she suffers from back pain. I really enjoyed that book and so did she. It was loaded with a lot of very sound and useful information, just like this book is, only instead of targeting the back muscles, the author focuses on the abdominal muscles.

The information contained within the pages of this book are numerous and are very sound from a safe and effective standpoint. Fortunately I have never suffered from back pain and therefore can not respond with a testimonial about how using the information in this book alleviated any kinds of pain, but I can attest to the fact that my girlfriend has and she just loves this book. She can now do quite a few sit-ups without experiencing the normal pain that she used to after doing only a few sit-ups, perhaps 25 to 30. Now she can do twice that number with no pain, okay a little sore muscle pain in the abs, but not in the back.

I have found that by following the information and guidance provided by the author in this book that I personally seem to be able to do a few more ab exercises during each session, although admittedly I haven't seen a lot of the waist melt off yet, but I suppose that has quite a bit to do with my hating to diet. I know, you have to do both in order to get the results.

I highly recommend this book along with The BackSmart Fitness Plan: A Total-Body Workout to Strengthen and Heal Your Back by the same author, Adam Weiss.

Plus it offers to let the reader start slowly for beginners or choose exercises that work all aspects of your stomach for those who have been working out for years. You don't have to start reading from the beginning. It only takes me about 15-20 minutes a day to do a workout at home. With many options to choose from, these workouts are fun.

He also share important tips for improving your diet without completely giving up the foods you love. Unlike other restrictive diet plans- this program provides you with smart uses of foods and "swap out" certain food groups for lighter, healthier foods to stop the bloating and swelling that occurs. There are good tips about what to eat and why with a good common sense and straight forward apporach you can flatten your stomach and make your stomach stronger.

Good value if you're not picky about the color

This is my first yoga mat, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I've been enjoying using it and it works quite well. There was never any odor, and the stickiness seems just right. The color was, indeed, slightly different than advertised. I ordered dark blue, but I received a mat that's closer to turquoise; it is an attractive, bright color, though. If you're not too picky about the color, I recommend this yoga mat.

A good dvd, but not earth shakingly great.

I did the original Callanetics fairly regularly years ago on a VHS tape, and I was intrigued when I saw this was available. I don't see a huge difference between it and the original except that you get to see different women performing the exercise in slightly different ways instead of just Callan Pinkney. I found a few of the transitions poorly explained, or poorly filmed - the "teacher" gave instructions for a new move quickly and it wasn't clear how the exercisers got into the new position, but beyond that it was pretty well made. I work out fairly frequently and didn't find the program very demanding, so I probably won't use it to replace my regular sculting routines with weights. But it comes in handy to pack when traveling.

I purchased the original Callanetics VHS in high school and was thrilled to find this updated DVD with more Callanetics.

If you're not familiar with the exercises, they're slow like yoga, but very effective and with no inverted poses. The moves are isolated and you consentrate on a few areas at a time, but what you feel later (and believe me, you'll feel it) is that you've worked your entire body. The cool thing is that it gets you a workout to your very core. It feels like you're toning your muscles at a very deep level (I'm not a personal trainer, so don't know proper terms) but you can tell it's really working the muscles.

Some of the positions will feel awkward at first and takes a little time to adjust. Definately go with the woman demonstrating at your level (There are three to choose from). They give lots of instruction and reminders on how to position yourself, which is helpful.

This DVD is relaxing, while strengthening, and you will need some time to complete it all the way through. It is divided into sections if you want to concentrate on one section at a time.

While not as high tech and fancy as some of the exercise DVDs out, this one gets results that I'm happy with. I highly recommend this DVD.

Works great for my iPhone!

I use this when I do my 1.5 acre yard. With good in-ear earbuds the sound is great, and I don't have to worry about a cord being ripped out of my iPhone and damaging it. I can also put the iPhone in a sealed ziploc bag so it's completely safe from rain, perspiration, or accidents with the water hose. Accessory Genie great to do business with too. Previous good service has made me a repeat customer.

The trick when pairing this device is to turn it on, then continue to hold down the power button (a clear piece of plastic) until it begins flashing both red and blue.

Aside from that, there's not much to it. The quality is OK and you can add your own headphones if you have any you would like to use.


Works as a home stereo bluetooth adapter

For those who have problems with the skip forwad and skip back buttons: That is an Ipod/Iphone issue. Apple disabled the forward and back skip functions on their devices. Send apple a comment asking them to enable forward and back buttons for bluetooth devices please because I want to be able to use that functionality too.

As far as devices other than Ipod/Iphone I haven't tried forward/back so...

I needed a receiver to connect bluetooth audio to my home stereo. There are several products specifically made for home stereo use, and all of them cost too much for me ($40-$150). This product is just what I was looking for. It works while the battery is charging so I can leave it plugged in and connected to my stereo. I currently use it only to play music fom my Ipod until I get a bluetoth adapter for my laptop. It works great so far no problems.


Great litlle item

This product exceeded my expectations. I have a Moto Droid which I listen to music on frequently but the headphone jack has become loose so I wanted to replace with a bluetooth device. I wanted to find something generic that would work with any headphones because I have not found many bluetooth headphones I like. I have several wired varieties I like and just wanted to make them bluetooth. Device works great for that. This alone would have made me happy but I hoped for (and got) play/pause/forward/backward/vol up/vol down controls as well as a decent built-in mic so I can receive calls with it. Clip spring is a little weak so you have to make sure you clip it to something secure. Overall functionality is great and I would recommend it to anyone. The construction is light plastic so I figure it will probably break soon, but for $25 I'll just buy another one.

The rewind/skip feature does not work but I still love being able to use any earbuds. And it has a loop so that I can attach a lanyard or such to it - cheap feature but hugely important to not losing my small gadgets! If only the rewind/skip button worked... If only the blue 'on' light didn't flash so brightly... Still like it, though.

I buy a lot of stuff from amazon and this has to be the worst product I have ever received. The concept is great. The implementation misses the mark. Every time I turn the headphones on I have pair them with my iphone4. Inside a car I can listen to podcast but the sound quality is poor for music. Unless I yell and speak slowly people on the other end of a phone call can not understand me. The headset is basically unusable as a phone headset. The headset does not work well outside. I wanted to be able to put my phone in a waterproof pouch on my waist and run but the connection is lost from that 1 meter distance. There is no real manual and no web site or technical support. Amazon should raise their standards and ban schlock like this

Not what I expected

Though I am not an audiophile, sound quality is a top priority. I use these headsets for riding the train, taking cruises and working around the house. I have been using bluetooth headsets since they created them for the 3rd generation Ipod (logitech). I wanted a set to use strictly with my new Ipod touch, so I ordered these. I love the design and the fit; earbuds and I do not get along. However, I was really disappointed with the sound. No dynamic range, no bass at all even after I adjusted my EQ settings on my Ipod. The music sounded like an AM radio station from back in the day. I don't expect the same quality from bluetooth as I do from wired headphones, but even the logitech headphones I purchased years ago had better quality sound. Frankly in my opinion the earbuds that came with the Ipod has better sound. Hopefully they can improve the sound on these things, the design is great. Regretfully I am here again looking for another set. By the way I giving this set to my wife, she's tone deaf she won't care (just kidding).

Quality of the product is great, while fitting comfortably on the arm; however, when temperatures were warm with humidity in the air, had caused the plastic face on the band to be ineffective with my phone. The screen was full of moisture to the point I could not use the buttons, and nor was my phone working properly until I had reset the battery.

Plus it was lightly sprinkling out, but nothing that I haven't ran in before with my phone in a different holder that was more exposed to rain.

Nice product all in all!


Perfect for the original MyTouch 3G

Excellent except for one issue

This is a great accessory for your iPod earphones if you run. It really keeps the earphones in place when you're running. Even if you're sweating, you don't have to worry about the earphones falling off. The only issue (other than it can only be used with Apple's earphones) is actually putting the earbuds on. It's a bit of a hassle to wrap the earbuds around your ear before you start running, but it becomes much more difficult while you're running. Let's say you accidentally yank your earphone cord and the earpiece comes off your ear. Because of your sweat, it's super hard to put the earbuds back in place while you're running. You'll most likely stop and try to put the earbuds in place (which isn't that easy either).


Good idea - poor fit

You would think that it would fit. Unfortunately I did not find this to be the case.

The BudFits may stay on my ears but they do not keep the Apple earbuds inside my ears with any motion.

After trying several other solutions I found and recommend the Philips earhook headset SHH8006.


Not Worth It - the Earbudi is Better

I bought these because I heard that they keep your earbuds in place - true for about 10 minutes. Maybe I have weird ears, but the Innovelis Budfits felt bulky on my head and just made my earphones bigger and they actually fell off easier. I threw them out. I didn't want to spend any more money, but two friends swore by the "Earbudi" so I borrowed theirs and then bought my own pair. What I like about the Earbudi is it fits my ear without the awkward bulkiness I had with the Innovelis brand. And they stay in! They're comfortable too, which I didn't expect, so you don't notice them. They also don't get caught in my earrings like the Innovelis brand did. Earbudi is also easier to put over your earbuds because you just slide it on - you don't have to put it on upside down like with Innovelis. The Earbudi is so much better! Great for cleaning and gardening too, because your earphones don't fall out when you lean or bend over. Actually the reason I threw the Innovelis brand out was because I was cleaning my bathroom with them in and the left one fell out into the toilet, which of course yanked the right one out with it before I could catch them. Some people don't have a problem with their iPod or iPhone earbuds falling out, but if you're active with them and they do fall out, definitely try the Earbudi before you try the Innovelis ones. The cost is the same!

Totaly In Love

I searched and search for something like these, and finally found them. Apple ear-buds do not stay in my ears, and trying to make them stay is very painful, but since the controls are built into the ear-buds (dumb), they're a necessary evil.

This awesome and inexpensive product allows me to keep using my ear-buds without fighting them or hurting myself. I'm completely in love with the BudFits.

My only tiny complaints are that the ear-bud cord does tend to detach rather easily, and the ear-buds themselves come out with a little rough housing (or after throwing them in my messy purse, trying to extract them often made the BudFits detach from the EarBuds). I used rubber-bands for a while, and that worked well. It didn't seem to interfere with the comfort or fit. I got new ear-buds recently, so I super-glued them to the BudFits - so far, this is an excellent permanent solution.

Even with that drawback, I believe this is a totally amazing product, well worth the very low price.

functional but with flaws

this product is cute and functional, but has some flaws. it is well padded as described and has an average sized armband. it is actually a little big for my arm, but I am very petite. my iPod fits in the holder with it's case still on, which is convenient. however, the plastic screen protector is pretty thick, making it hard to use your iPod at times. tapping is easy, but sliding to unlock or adjust volume is nearly impossible. also, the top of the holder is open, where it is possible, though highly unlikely, for your iPod to fall out. I haven't had this problem yet though. and lastly, a rather serious flaw that I discovered is that there is no hole for your earbuds to plug into your iPod. a stupid mistake in design. however, an easy fix. I simply extended the already existing hole using scissors. overall, for the price, a good buy. :)

You’ve heard of Rock Band and Guitar Hero for your video game system at home. You may have even played one or two of those games at a friends house or maybe you even have one that you play at home. They are great party games and fun for the whole family, but will they do for your workout music selection? Nothing Finally a game/app that will set you on the path to creating your own workout music. Have you ever had a tune stuck in your head and you’re not sure what it is or where it came from? If you don’t get that tune out of your head you are likely to blow? Well, now, grab the Voice Band app for the iPhone and you can turn that tune into your new favorite workout song. You don’t have to be a musician or anything, you don’t even have to be able to carry a tune. I have come across a lot of really cool apps for the iPhone, but this one puts all of the other ones to bed. Voice Band takes your “singing” and turns it into instruments. The way it works is, you hum the tune into your iPhone, select the instrument you want to play that tune (you can select from power chords, lead guitar, bass, two different kinds of synthesizers, organ and even drums) and then you can record your work. Lay down one track, followed by another, followed by another and pretty soon you’ll have a full fledged song and you can even sing along with it. Create your own workout music? Sounds too good to be true right? Not anymore it is not. With Voice Band you are the master of your workout music. "The Abs Diet Eat Right Every Time Guide" by David Zinczenko, Editor-in-Chief of "Men's Health" and the author of the New York Times bestseller "The Abs Diet," is a good little book to assist with making the right food choices. If you are not familiar with Zinczenko, you are probably familiar with his newer book series. The "Eat This, Not That" series has become very popular, including his newest addition to the series, "Drink This, Not That." This book is a portable companion to Zinczenko's larger "The Abs Diet" written with Ted Spiker, and it is similar to the "Eat This" books in that it provides "on the go" food choices and has parts that show which foods to eat over other choices. This was the original "Eat This, Not That" guide.

There is a quick introduction regarding the Abs Diet. Then there is a two page Abs Diet cheat sheet, and a one page success story. Chapter one then discusses why your weight is not your fault. Enemies such as high-fructose corn syrup, tans fat, saturated fat, and refined carbohydrates are discussed. There is also a little on your metabolism and your friends protein, polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, fiber-rich carbohydrates and calcium.

Chapter two covers the Abs Diet power twelve. The twelve principles that make up the diet or eating program. (12 main foods or food groups) The chapter goes over these and why they are what you should eat.

Chapter three focuses on the six steps to lifelong leanness: Eating six meals a day, eating around the Abs Diet Power 12, Drink smoothies regularly, stop counting, watch what you drink, and go ahead, cheat. Chapter four then lists an Abs Diet grocery list to help you shop for healthy foods. I liked that he includes a short bit on reading labels.

Chapter five has 25 Abs Diet breakfasts. Chapter six contains 25 lunches, and Chapter seven has the dinners. Easy, quick dishes with the basic nutrient values included. Chapter eight has 27 smoothie and snack recopies, while chapter nine focuses on eating out and provides information on the foods you will find in many restaurants, including fast foods. Chapter ten contains some guidelines to survive the holidays.

Chapter eleven has a little on working out, and then the book concludes with a few frequently asked questions. The book contains some good information regarding food choices, and if you follow "The Abs Diet," it is a good companion. However, it is not as engaging as the "Eat This" books. This book has no pictures, no color, etc., like those books have. This book contains solid information and is a good guide, it's just not as attractive a package as the others. If you have all the newer ones, you might not find this one as useful, however, if you only have the original "Abs Diet" book, this is a good companion.

Good book to start off with if you are trying to figure out what to eat and what not to. It has helped me reach a point where I can scan the ingredients and nutrition values quickly and figure out what's good for me and what's not. I have recently had one full month of inactivity because of some additional work responsibilities and I still did not grow (which normally I had a tendency of) because I ate the right food. Might find the same content on websites but that is scattered all over the place. It's a small book. Just be patient in the beginning as developing a sense of what and when to eat and what not to takes some time.

There is a lot of confusion when it comes to dieting. It doesn't surprise me, with so much bad information out there on the latest ‘fad’ diets, slimming pills, and supplements, people have become confused when it comes to fat loss.

I will point out 6 powerful ways to get Flat Abs Fast in a healthy way. You want a diet that will help your metabolism work at the optimal level. One of the ways you can speed up you metabolism is by changing the way you eat.

1. Don't just eat 3 meals a day, which has become the standard norm, make your meals smaller and eat 5 to 6 times a day. This will help your metabolism increase. It will help you burn calories, burn the fat right off your body fast and develop those muscle abs.

Be Wary Of Some Dairy Products Dairy products, with the EXCEPTION of eggs, full fat live yogurt and butter, are heavily processed and use pasteurization and homogenization in order to maintain shelf life. These processes kill off all the enzymes required to properly digest them meaning your body has to work overtime to digest them. 5. Stay Away From Foods Containing Sugars Stay away from foods with additives, preservatives and emulsifiers. You can find them by seeing foods that end with o-s-e. For Example.. Short and intense workouts that will make you sweat

The exercises in this video look easy and I was confident I would get through the 15 min Abs circuit workout easily. HA!

Jackie makes you work for the six pack abs you desire and want. Five minutes into the workout and I was sweating and definitely feeling the burn. Each and every exercise are challenging and yet comfortable to perform. My favorite is the Sumo Wrestler which works your obliques. You don't feel it as your working out, trust me the muscle was not only worked it was awaken.

I highly recommend this exercise DVD for people who want to challenge themselves and their muscles, for people looking for a different and challenging exercise video and for people serious about exercise.

Jackie is fun, energeric, motivating and she feels more like a friend and less like a trainer.

I watched Jackie's show on and off and though it was full of drama, one thing was constant, Jackie Warner's body is da bomb. Period. So, I purchased this DVD after reading reviews. I love it.

First, the 40 minutes FLY BY....

Next, I like the way each body part is chaptered correctly.

Jackie's personality is infectious and not over the top.

I was sore the next day.

I have other full body workouts, Cathe, Amy, etc., but I wanted something to the point short and sweet and this is it.

Lastly, Jackie moves quickly through this workout and some have complained about this, my advice just do your own thing. Pace yourself. Form and getting the most from each exercise is more important than performing the exercise incorrectly. Plus, the fast pace helps to keep that heart rate up, thus you are burning fat in your zone.

Great workout, good price, get it.

Fun, challenging workout for an advanced beginner/intermediate exerciser

I recently posted a comment regarding another person's review of this DVD and realized it might be helpful to post my own review! So here goes...

I have never been one to work out with any regularity, as I tend to get bored easily. Over the past five years, though, I became increasingly sedentary due to my job sitting behind a desk most of the day. I also noticed my metabolism slowing down, and although I did not need to lose weight, I was out of shape, feeling tired a lot, and lacking the tight abs I was once so proud to have! After turning 35 this year I realized I needed to add fitness into my daily life. My goals were to strengthen and tone my body and gain energy, but without weight loss.

I had been working out for a solid 4 weeks when I first tried this DVD. When I began exercising this summer, I worked out 3 days a week for the first 2 weeks and then 5 days a week for the second 2 weeks -- solely with fitness DVDs at home. I was surprised to find myself actually enjoying working out! However, I reached a point where I wasn't feeling challenged enough by the DVDs I had been using (mostly SELF magazine workouts and Gunnar Peterson's Core Secrets) and decided to borrow Jackie's Power Circuit Training DVD from my local library to see how I would like it. (I had tried the first level of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred and LOVED it, but wanted something to alternate with that workout. Just a note: As I continue to try different DVDs, I have found that I do not tend to enjoy "dance-y" workouts or intense cardio with complicated footwork. I prefer primarily strength training that involves compound exercises and movement, so circuit training is a good fit for me.)

Jackie's Power Circuit Training DVD provided just the challenge I was needing! Jackie discusses proper form for MOST all of the exercises, as well as shows modifications using one of the backup trainers. (I completed the 40 minute total body circuit, which covers all of the exercises on the DVD.) I will say that she does NOT do a very good job discussing proper form during the core/abs section, and I found myself needing to support my head during the first circuit (upper abs) to relieve the strain on my neck, rather than holding a weight in my hands as she instructs.

Before each circuit a screen comes up telling you which muscle group(s) you will be working and the exercises you'll be doing. So, I did not find it difficult to know which equipment I would be using (as a few reviewers have complained). You pretty much need to have your weights and mat accessible throughout the entire workout. While I found Jackie's pace a bit faster than I wanted to go, I just took each exercise at my own pace...and yes, I felt the burn! I did not find any of the total body circuit difficult for my knees (another reviewer complaint), although my family has a history of knee problems so I am very careful to use proper form doing squats, lunges, etc. Additionally, Jackie cues well and has a likeable, non-irritating personality. I consider myself an advanced beginner or intermediate exerciser, and I think this is a great workout! However, not everyone's definition of "advanced beginner/intermediate" is the same...so take things at your own pace (fast, jerky movements are never good) and if you don't feel like a particular workout explains proper form well enough, find out from another source.

Update: I hadn't done this workout for a couple of weeks (I am now in my seventh straight week of working out -- a record for me!) and was dreading it, just thinking about how challenging it had been and how long it runs (approximately 42 minutes for the total body circuit). Once I started it, though, I was reminded of how much I enjoy it and how quickly the time passes! I look forward to doing it again!

Great workout, lenght is not too short, not too long, I'd say just perfect for those who doesnt feel satisfy with the others "20-30 minutes workout dvd's". Some moves are similar to Jillian Michaels dvd's, but still a great fat burner.

Kicked my butt...in a good way!

I have never tried any of Jackie Warner's workouts before, so when I saw that this workout was only 32 minutes I thought "how hard could it be?." Whoa! It is really challenging. I consider my self at a intermediate/advanced level and this one really got me huffing and puffing, not to mention my muscles just burned!!! Jackie's style is fun yet motivating. She gives good tips to make sure you are using proper form. I like that she offers modifications. I really like that I can get an intense workout in a short period of time without sacrificing results. I am really happy to have this in my workout library!

This disc is that reminder, containing a fast-paced and comprehensive fitness routine that ranks among the very best. Warner is personable as she trains--and she doesn't stint on doing the moves herself. She's designed the workout in three chunks, upper body, lower body, and core/abs, which can be done separately or combined for a full hour heavy-duty routine. What I love about this workout is no matter how many times I do it I can continue to increase the difficulty just by increasing weights! Also, because the difficulty is controlled by how heavy of weights you use, you can do the workout with friends that are at different levels! Definitely great and is not a workout that will make you bulk up since it focuses on high reps and lower weights! Leaves my muscles shaking every time! Check out her other DVD as well and book--all 3 are great! I can't wait until her new DVD comes out this fall!

This is a great workout dvd. It is divided into 3 20 minute workouts; upper body, lower body, and core. You can select whichever combination of workouts you feel like doing. I felt like the workouts were just challenging enough to get my heart rate up, but not so difficult that I couldn't keep up. I did not get bored with the workout either. I would definitely recommend.

With past work out videos I've gotten I use them for a month then get annoyed or tired of the routine. I've been doing this DVD for sometime now and still look forward to doing it. The results are fast which is one reason why I stick with it and Jackie's personality isn't annoying. It was pretty challenging at first but as I said before the results are fast so it gets easier pretty quickly.


Good workouts

This DVD has three great workouts. Even though it's supposed to have cardio after each group of exercises, my heart rate wasn't really raised during the upper body workout and the ab workout. That's not to say that they aren't still great workouts, they just aren't very cardio oriented. The lower body workout is great for targeting gluts and legs and actually did give me a cardio workout as well. I usually alternate this video with Jillian Micheals' NMTZ and BFBM. I can't say that I've lost weight using this video because I've been maintaining my target weight goal for a month or so and bought this video after I reached my goal, however I do feel like it's helping me to define my abs and tone up my legs and arms. I'll be buying her other video next to throw into the mix.

There are no magic pills.  No magic contraptions.  No magic potions.  Period.

Wrap your head around that fact now, because I’m about to tell you the ugly truth and you aren't going to like it.

The equation for getting and staying healthy and fit is simple … but there is ONLY ONE equation.  And it doesn't include machines, pills or potions that promise fast fat loss and health without any work or effort whatsoever.

There is no quick way to melt fat and keep it off just by ingesting some crazy concoction made from some 'as yet unheard of' substance.

Do you really think that ingesting something that contains calories of ANY sort will help you to lose weight?  No.

It all boils down to the basic fact that you must burn more calories than you eat.  End of story.

So, how do we do this?  We do this by NOT EATING SO MUCH, not by eating or drinking crazy potions which only ADD to that calorie count you're trying to keep under control.  Eat whole, natural, HEALTHY foods that keep you feeling fuller longer and you're going to win the battle.

Every single product out there that appears to promise quick fat loss merely by eating or drinking their product is a SCAM!

Let's move on to exercise.  I know exercise is hard and sweating feels uncomfortable and you WISH you could get a workout in, in only 4 minutes maximum a day but I'm here to tell you that WILL NEVER WORK.

It doesn't matter what machine or contraption it is, if it's promising that you only have to workout for 4 minutes a day, or that you can work out just by sitting, they are misleading you badly and deserve to be spanked.

You MUST move your ENTIRE body a LOT in order to truly get fit and healthy.  The human body was designed to move, hunt, gather, run from predators and all that stuff the cavemen used to do.  If we don't give our bodies a chance to do any of that, eventually our muscles atrophy, the fat settles in, and here we are, the society we are now, experiencing an obesity epidemic.

Yes, it's hard to hear.  People nowadays seem to have their heads in the sand about what it really takes to realize good health.  People also seem to be always looking for the 'easy way out' these days.

When it comes to health and fitness there IS NO EASY WAY OUT.  I can't be emphatic enough about this.

When it comes to wasting your money and regretting it later, don't let yourself be a statistic.  Save your money when it comes to gizmos and unbelievable promises of fast fitness and quick fat loss.

Put your heart into following the only equation that really works:  Calories In < Calories Out.

Eat the right foods for maximum energy and nutrients, and not too much of it.  Work out to help burn more calories than you're ingesting and watch the fat melt.

And don't let yourself be duped by the scammers.  Now you know better, right?
