Not challenging, good for when I don't feel well

I use a variety of yoga and pilates DVDs, this one is not my favorite but not my least favorite either. I think its probably best for beginners as it guides through breathing exercises. I found the actual poses easy to do and didn't work up a sweat. I do like her voice and the fact that she doesn't say a bunch of unnecessary things. This is a good practice for when I am under the weather or have overdone it the day before.

Excellent 20-min Yin Yoga extra practice

I have purchased the 2006 publication of Yoga Conditioning for Women which I believe is just a remake of this 2002 publication.

I love the 20-minute practice for stress and fatigue which is a all on the floor practice with long held poses and very Yin-like. I love using it as a early morning yoga and you can add your own meditation and prana/breath-work afterward.

The main practice is 60-minutes and I love it too. It is quite challenging and you should preview the pose guide if you are a beginner to yoga.

Graceful, beautiful, and challenging

I tried to do this video quite a while ago when I was first attempting to learn yoga at home, and was defeated by the speed and difficulty of the "posture" section. (The program is in 3 parts: Breath, which seems easy but really makes you learn to use breath, Posture, a fast moving flowing and balance oriented section, and Centering, which is a lot of twisting and stretching with breath.) However, now that I feel more confident -- I think I'm somewhere between beginner and intermediate level -- I just love this program. I am still not flexible enough to do all the moves but the grace and beauty of the program entrances me. And I always feel calm, centered, stretched and balanced when I finish. I do recommend this for any woman. Stay with it and enjoy how your performance improves over time.

The Best Yoga Video I've Found Yet

This yoga is probably not a video for the basic basic beginner but for someone who has a cursory introduction to yoga and is of average fitness it's perfect. If you're looking for a nice stretch, I highly recomend it. The pace is good - not too slow, not too fast. The only downside I could see is for someone with a time crunch - the routine is an hour. In the end I think if you have the time to do it regularly you definitely feel and see results in body tone.

I am a 60 year old former dancer & teacher of Bellydance & though retired (due to health) I am always on the look-out for belly dance DVDs both teaching & performing as I think it is one of the most beautiful of the art forms, when done correctly! I'm EXTREMELY impressed with this DVD, it's perfect! Even for someone who has never had a real life teacher I BELIEVE if you took this DVD broke it down (which actually she does for you, in that she teaches one step at a time) so that if you took that one step as one lesson spent say a week or even longer if a week wasn't enough for you for that particular move. Then practiced & practiced that move until you owned it then moved on to the next move, do the same with each move until finally you have them all as "your moves" you would be able to do a nice little dance. And all you've spent is the very reasonable price of the DVD, the time it took you to learn & you're on your way! Now get a couple friends to join you & you've added fellowship, fun & time well spent exercising all your muscle groups & you hardly even knew you were exercising & getting into the best shape of your life! Your self esteem will grow, your whole outlook on life will improve! I can say this because Bellydance DID CHANGE my life!! What most people don't realize is Bellydance is & always has been a dance by women for women, I know our men love it too BUT it started out as fellowship among women. This video is excellent for beginners. It is well-structured with detailed and easy-to-follow instructions. I was taking weekly classes with a local instructor, and used this video to practice the basic movements between my classes. I found that the video complemented the classes, since it offered more details.

I had been interested in belly dancing for a while and finally got up the nerve to actually try it. I ordered the disk based off of other reviews, they all said it was fantastic, and I have been really pleased with it so far. Traditional work out methods just don't work for me. I get so board with weight lifting or walking and running and swimming. Belly dancing gives me the freedom to shake up my own routine and allows me to feel sexy at the same time.
I highly recommend this dvd for anyone who wants to find their femanine side and explore a fantastic way to get into shape while having fun.

The Best I've Tried!

You know how sometimes you have a difficult time grasping an idea or concept, and lots of people try to explain it to you but something still eludes you? That's how I felt about bellydance. I thought it was a beautiful art form and a great workout, but no matter how many DVDs I tried, something was still wrong when I watched myself performing the moves in the mirror. I couldn't figure out what I wasn't doing right. And I've been working at it. I've got over twenty bellydance DVDs. The Goddess Workout (which was my favorite up till now), Veena and Neena, Suhaila, Rania, Blanca, Neon...I swear I have everybody represented.

My point is that Amira explains the moves in a way that I was able to understand and grasp. i can finally do the Camel and it looks right! I get it now. This new understanding affects my ability to do all my other bellydance workouts and videos, and I think Amira has been instrumental in that change. Now I feel like I can start really practising and building on what I've learned. Thanks, Amira!

I wasn't looking for a high-energy cardio, and this was a great selection. Wish there was more yoga, but this is a very neat pregnancy workout. I am 23 weeks and this is a great relaxing and baby-soothing workout.

Fabulous resource!!

This video is so great. I really enjoyed all of the interviews with the 6 mothers. All of their experiences with belly dance and birth are so different, powerful, and real. The workout is safe and well-rounded. You can tell that Amira put a lot of work into creating this product, and her performances are lovely too.

good for the belly

As a belly dancer of 10 yrs I did not want to leave dancing out of my pregnancy. Once my regular classes became too late in the eve for me I ordered this DVD. What a relief to continue my dancing and to be so inspired. Amira is well spoken and easy to follow, and even keeps you interested throughout the entire session. I felt it was beginner level, yet completely appropriate. Most importantly I enjoy myself every time I dance with this video, and am thankful for the space it creates for my baby and me.

Celebrate your pregnant self

I have really been enjoying this DVD! It took me a while to find a belly dancing workout especially for pregnancy; in the meantime I tried out a few beginning belly dance DVDs that were not specifically for pregnancy and found most of them hard to follow. Amira does a very good job of breaking down the moves. The movements in themselves are simple, yet even after following the video twice I felt a huge difference in my hips and muscle tone. That being said, I didn't think that the warm up segment was that great; I didn't feel especially warmed up after doing it, so what I do now is warm up with some of my other DVDs and then skip straight to the strengthening and belly dance sections. The labor exercise segment is also very helpful. However, I was not too impressed with the interviews. There is good information there, but if you already have any experience with (natural)birthing you will probably not hear anything that you didn't already know.

As a side note, I was at a sandwich shop with my 2 year old daughter the other night and she got up and started doing hip circles to the pop music that was playing there

Wonderful prenatal exercise program

I viewed this video from the perspective of a Certified Nurse Midwife and teacher of Prenatal Belly Dance, and I must say that I realy like this DVD! It is very well done - excellent production, nice relaxing and reassuring words and body language!

In this video, Amira's obvious comfort with her body, her lovely pregnancy glow and her gently encouraging words offer a role model for women looking for an alternative to feeling fat and clumsy during pregnany. Our world needs more images of beautiful mother goddesses celebrating their abundance!

The yoga stretches and strengthening sections are a really nice addition. I do believe that yoga and belly dance are wonderfully complimentary to each other.

It is a really nice, safe, and do-able program, with very good instruction and a nice pace in which a woman can take her time and follow along.

The DVD is also packed with extras. I loved the 2 beautiful performances by Amira, and the out-takes were fun! While the interviews might be somewhat helpful to the pregnant women using the video, I felt they did not add much to the overall quality of the information offered.

Thanks to Amira for producing this DVD - it is an excellent addition to the world of prenatal exercise videos, and I will happily recommend it to pregnant women!

I normally wear a 34DD, but I have one of these in a 34C and a 34D. The smaller one is the only thing that I can run in, while the larger one is perfect for spinning classes and more comfortable to wear. When you size down you do lose some of the separation that this bra is designed to offer, but since I've yet to find another bra that can provide separation and enough support, this is not too upsetting. It still beats a compression only bra.

It's comfortable and I like the adjustable straps. I just wish it were underwire so the girls couldn't slip through the bottom. It is very comfortable but I won't use it for high impact activities like running or volleyball but will use it for elliptical or walking.

I am normally a 42DD. I took others advice and ordered a 40DD instead, and was very happy I did so. This bra really did the trick for me after many others failed. I am not a runner, but do some serious hiking and was very comfortable the whole time. Nothing pinches and my back and shoulders felt good even after wearing it for a whole day. This bra offers really good coverage, with no "spillage" out of the sides or top like some others I have tried. Adjustable velcro straps in the front are really nice as well!

Best Sports bra ever for larger busted women (36dd)

I have been wearing MC Maia for about 5 years. i spin, zumba, strength train and participate in boot camp. No other bra kept my chest where it belongs while doing these activities.

Maia is the most comfortable bra with the inner liner stability and underwires. It doesn't give me the uniboob look. The compression is perfect for me. I thought for a moment I may have issues with my heart rate monitor/calorie counter but after 6 months everything is fine.

My biggest complaint is the variety of colors. So many smaller women have pretty colors and cool prints. Wish Maia was more colorful and fun.

This bra isn't as comfortable as the ones I have with non-adjustable straps and it provides less coverage and support than the others I have of the same size. Very disappointing. I love the older style and was really hopeful that this new one would be as good. Very big sigh.....

This is definitely the functionally best sports bra I have ever had. I wear a 34DD and it's like I don't even have a large chest when I have this bra on. It really does give you a nice shape that is not a uniboob...I even wear it under button down shirts sometimes because it minimizes in the right places and keeps that pesky middle button from popping open!

I would recommend this bra to any busty women, particularly those of us who aren't big anywhere but our chests. The only drawbacks to this bra is that it is a bit high-cut in the front and is a little bulky under tight workout tank tops and/or those with a built-in shelf bra. That said, I'll take the high neckline because it keeps the girls from bouncing out of control. Plus you don't need the extra layer of support from a bra top tank once you have this...I can wear any t-shirt or tank top with it. I've run a lot of 10-mile plus runs since getting this bra and have never experienced any issues with chafing or blisters, even on my collarbone (has anyone else noticed a lot of sports bras have a seam that hits right on your collarbone? How dumb!)

I love this bra. I think I love it even more than the Fiona that I bought earlier this year. I like that it comes up higher on my chest and doesn't show as much cleavage.

I am normally a 42 D, but I bought this in a 44D and I really love the fit. I know that it's meant to fit tighter than a lingerie bra, but I also wanted to make sure that it was comfortable on my ribcage.

I am going to take out the underwires, because I simply don't like them in any sort of bra. I will tell you that those suckers are in there to stay for most folks, as I couldn't even find a place to cut in and take them out. I'm taking them to my mother who is practically a seamstress and I know she'll be able to remove them in a way that won't hurt the rest of the bra.

Very comfortable, very supportive, and overall a great looking bra. If I were a skinnier person, I would feel comfortable taking my shirt off at the gym in it.

I love this sports bra. Instead of wearing a normal bra and a sports bra over it, this covers me. As busty as I am, I can wear a tank top to run outside, with this underneath, and I get little to no bounce, no pain, and I do not feel like I am falling out. I never have to adjust it while strength training or running. It stays put! Wonderful buy, totally worth it. FINALLY someone put thought into a bra.

I absolutely love this bra and am back on Amazon buying more. I'm a 34DD but sized down to 34D with this, and it's perfect. This bra has firmly held the girls jiggle-free through skiing, mountain biking, running, and aerobics classes.

My lone complaint is that the thick material retains sweat, which can get pretty uncomfortable on long runs.

It's nice shape and flattering. However, it retains sweat alot which makes it feel very uncomfortable after only a few minutes of working out for someone who sweat alot like me won't appreciate so much. I ended up buying three of these though.. 1st one wrong size, one pink/white, and one white/charcoal. no return policy due to sanitary reason, so choose the right size, you can't return it even if you get the wrong size.

I'm impressed with this sports bra. I've never really been a fan of sports bras because of the horrible uniboob issue, this bra takes care of that problem though! There is some slight padding to help give your boobs some shape and it's overall pretty comfy. If you're in need spend a little more on this and invest in an excelent sports bra.

The stretching exercises in this book helped me restore full range of motion in my shoulders and arms in a very short period of time after surgery. I had been doing the exercises in the little pamphlet given to me by the surgeon, but those exercises did not seem to be producing the results I wanted. I could barely lift my arms over my head to wash my hair. It was immediately obvious from the first stretches I did, that those from the book were exactly what I needed. I like that the book has somewhat different exercises and stretches for different types of breast surgery and alternative ways of accomplishing them based on an individual's abilities and limitations. It also has really good explanations and descriptions (and illustrations) of the various surgeries. I highly recommended the book to my surgeon and occupational therapist. If you've had breast surgery, get this book and get moving.

The Breast Cancer Survior's Fitness Plan

This is the most informative book I found on physicaly recovering from mastectomy. It is full of information on excercises you can do after to help you recover faster with less complications. I wish I had found it before my surgery. You are sent home with instructions on what not to do but nothing on what you can do. I also bought a copy for my surgeon. The more you know the better you will do.

I received this book 2 days after I ordered it and did not use fast delivery. I had my mastectomy 9/11 and I was not told about exercising until last week. Then I could not get into the therapy program until Dec 23. I have really been hurting and lots of fluid. I finally went on line and learned about exercising before I ordered this book. In the last hour - I have learned so much. Also the exercise pictures really shows you what to do. By the time I get to therapy - I hope to be doing well. I rate this book an 5 plus.

This is a great book that gives a lot of accurate information. I found that if you already have breast cancer, a lot of this information is duplicate from what you can get at any good cancer center for free, but it is all combined into one book rather than tons of brochures. It's a good reference and when everyone around you has an opinion, you can go to this book for the right answers. Would make a great gift for a newly diagnosed patient.

I am so glad I started with the book before moving on to the DVD. I was able to learn all the exercises and keep up with the DVD better than I otherwise would have. After two weeks with this book, I felt more limber and like I was really doing something good for me. After two months people started to notice-- I was toning up. These exercises really work for quick results-- and it's not too big of a time commitment. I'm working out with Minna Lessig 20 to 30 minutes a day, 5 times week. After 10 months, I can definately say I love the improvement it's made.

This bra is easy to put on, stays in place, doesn't dig into me and is supportive. I love the velcro adjustable straps, all bras should have them. I didn't realize how much I sweated until I took my bra off!
It made my breasts look normal size. I need to get some more of these bras. The product listing does not tell you that the straps are velcro adjustable, what a nice feature. The material doesn't get itchy, feels soft and comfortable. Mary from SOCAL.

good, but not quite the best

I bought this sports bra after reading some of the reviews on it. I'm a 34-DD so I need and like lots of support. I've previously worn the Moving Comfort Fiona bra, and liked those a lot too, so that is what I'm comparing these to. The Pros:
-Super comfortable-I could wear this all day and be comfy
-Easily adjustable-can adjust exactly as you want. Would make a good maternity bra I would think
-Decreases the uniboob

Cons:
-sizes seem to run large-I bought the 34/36 D/DD and I feel like I would need to go a size smaller if I really wanted to reduce the bounce
-not quite enough compression for me. Could be the fact that the sizes run large, but that Fiona bra definately keeps the girls where they belong. This one not so much.

Overall I'm happy with these bras because they are comfortable for my regular workouts-weight lifting, elipticals, things like that. I wouldn't consider running in this bra though-I'd bust out the Moving Comfort Fiona bras, which aren't comfortable enough for all day wear but will compress the girls enough to keep them where they belong. I've reviewed the Fiona as well if you want my thoughts on that as well.

I'm 5'10 and have a 34" inseam and these pants are perfect. Even after I washed AND dried them they didn't shrink up like nearly every single one of my other yoga pants have done. They still come down below my ankles but not too long. I'm buying more now.

It's a shame most of the reviews on this product reference a hat!

Best Bra I've found

I normally wear a 34DD, but I have one of these in a 34C and a 34D. The smaller one is the only thing that I can run in, while the larger one is perfect for spinning classes and more comfortable to wear. When you size down you do lose some of the separation that this bra is designed to offer, but since I've yet to find another bra that can provide separation and enough support, this is not too upsetting. It still beats a compression only bra.

It's comfortable and I like the adjustable straps. I just wish it were underwire so the girls couldn't slip through the bottom. It is very comfortable but I won't use it for high impact activities like running or volleyball but will use it for elliptical or walking.

Excellent bra for the money

I am normally a 42DD. I took others advice and ordered a 40DD instead, and was very happy I did so. This bra really did the trick for me after many others failed. I am not a runner, but do some serious hiking and was very comfortable the whole time. Nothing pinches and my back and shoulders felt good even after wearing it for a whole day. This bra offers really good coverage, with no "spillage" out of the sides or top like some others I have tried. Adjustable velcro straps in the front are really nice as well!

I absolutely love this bra and am back on Amazon buying more. I'm a 34DD but sized down to 34D with this, and it's perfect. This bra has firmly held the girls jiggle-free through skiing, mountain biking, running, and aerobics classes.

My lone complaint is that the thick material retains sweat, which can get pretty uncomfortable on long runs.

nice shape, pretty but not very functional

It's nice shape and flattering. However, it retains sweat alot which makes it feel very uncomfortable after only a few minutes of working out for someone who sweat alot like me won't appreciate so much. I ended up buying three of these though.. 1st one wrong size, one pink/white, and one white/charcoal. no return policy due to sanitary reason, so choose the right size, you can't return it even if you get the wrong size.

I'm impressed with this sports bra. I've never really been a fan of sports bras because of the horrible uniboob issue, this bra takes care of that problem though! There is some slight padding to help give your boobs some shape and it's overall pretty comfy. If you're in need spend a little more on this and invest in an excelent sports bra.

Great support - NOT wicking

Great bra for running! Didn't feel too tight but kept my C cups from bouncing. The bra is thick (multiple layers of fabric). I ran 7 miles outside in 90 degree weather. When I took the bra off, it was soaked and weighed at least a pound! Does not wick moisture away as other bras do. I guess the multiple layers of fabric vs. breathability is the the price you pay for the support. Definitely a good choice for cooler weather running, but not the bra to use in the warmer months.

I threw away all of my sports bras because they were completely worn out. All were Champion bras that I've had for over 5 years so I knew Champion was a good brand to go with. I search on Amazon looking for the 'perfect' sports bra. I do believe I found it! I ordered it a size down like the other reviewers said to do and it fits perfectly - hardly any bounce at all and I am not small chested. I am a 34D and ordered the medium. My experience with bras of all kinds is that if it fits a bit too snug at first, after a few wearings, it will probably stretch to fit perfectly. I love that this bra has the clasp in the back so you can adjust it to fit perfectly. Love this bra! I'll probably be ordering another one. (The one I purchased is pink and the color is beautiful)!

Durable, small opening

Bought another adidas one that has more simplistic design (the one with adidas spelled out on the side) this on is durable, but not much space inside (yes, it is a small). but the fact that it looks so big but theres not much actual space inside is annoying. buy the simple on instead, it has a bigger opening and that is a plus for a duffel bag to just stuff things in and grab stuff out.

I purchased this bag because of the photo, which has big white plain adidas name on the side. What i got is the same logo from the sides, not the adidas name in big, as the photo shows.
It might sound like a minor detail, but i chose this bag because of that, and i'm kinda dissapointed.

this bag is perfect for gym, its small and convenient. it has a 2 zipper pockets, the outside one that is visible for everyone to see and the other inside of it, its smaller but its discreet enough. i only con about it is that it gets dirty fast, i still haven't figured out how to clean yet but still i love it.

Backpack almost perfect

The backpack was priced attractively. It is light weight. The credit card pockets on the inside of the purse are not great as when the purse is "filled" they keep popping the credit cards out. I wish there were more credit card spaces on the front pocket. Also the elastic loops for pens on the inside of the bag don't really hold pens. They too, flop out or in the case of the front pocket elastic for pens, the pen gets in the way of your cards and money. All that being said I still like the bag very much because of its weight, size and quality.

don't like the green lining on the blue bag

I had high hopes for this bag, but I am returning it. I got steel blue and didn't realize it would have a green lining. (I see that now in the description but I didn't notice it when I ordered.) I guess if you want a modern look and like lime green, it could work out, but I was seeking a blue bag, and I find the green quite jarring.

I really liked this book because it gently reminded me how I invite stress into my life without trying. It was refreshing to have someone point out that we women have all these "ping pong balls in our bag" because we're thoughtful and want to help people. `Bout time somebody noticed that! The tips and quizzes inside were fun and the book was sprinkled with really interesting facts about the physical benefits of laughing and having more humor in your life. I really loved the cover too--I am that woman!

These gloves are comfiortable and quick dry, great for daily workouts.

Note the thumb is attached to teh fingers so picking up a water bottle to drink from during a workout is difficult.

Misleading Product Photos

I bought these gloves from MMA One Stop Shop and received a pair of gloves that did not match the photos above. There was no mesh ventilation. I already own these style gloves without the mesh and it is difficult to keep them from getting stinky, even when I clean them right after use with lysol.

Nice for light sparring but dont hit the bag or your opponent too hard with any gloves like these

We do a lot of sparring at the gym. Everlast is ususally a good bet. I have only heard of everlast boxing gloves falling apart too early maybe twice over the last 14 years. These are good gloves for sparing, etc. I still keep a pair in my bag but I made the switch to a higher priced glove a while back and haven't pulled these out of the bag since. I've gone through a few pairs of these gloves over the years and they are well worth the money. Once you go to a higher quality brand you probably won't go back to these, but they get the job done for a good price. I wouldn't recommend them for just hitting the bag because they're a bit hard and you risk damaging your wrist.

Decent Training Gloves

The Everlast Pro Style Training Gloves are a decent pair of gloves to train on the heavy bags with. They are ok for sparring but I would prefer something with a little more padding. The only slight issue that I have with the gloves is that they are a tight fit with wraps on. I use the Evergel 120" speed wraps and it is a little hard to get the gloves on. I don't have big hands I have average sized hands. So if you have big hands I would try looking for a different pair. Overall, it is a good pair of gloves for hitting the heavy bag. I would just suggest to getting a thicker pair of gloves if you want to spar.

I really love these gloves. People say that Everlast brand isnt that great but they are wrong. This is my second pair of gloves and I love them. The only reason why i purchased another pair was because I wanted pink. This particular style is great because it allows air to come through, therefore you wont be as sweaty or get stinky gloves. I used them to train and spar 4 days out of the week. Great gloves and great price!

best gloves I've ever used

I originally bought an MMA style glove, which didn't have enough padding for the intensity of the kickboxing class I was taking. I returned them and bought these...so much better! They are fully padded, but with a different type of foam than the traditional Everlast Training gloves. It allows more shock absorption than the traditional, and has more wrist support which helped me to keep my wrist in proper position. I bought the women's size small/medium, and they fit great (I'm 5'4" 130lbs). The only reason I gave it a 4 is because I wish they were available in a color other than pink in women's sizes.

Great Gloves!

I've tried several gloves and none fit as well as the Everlast Neoprene Gloves! Light weight, durable, great fit and easy to slip on and off. As for my other gloves (brandname withheld) the seams gave way in several areas of the glove. So, I would highly recommend Everlast Neoprene, you can't go wrong and you'll have fun hitting the bag.

Small but they work

Couldn't find the size listed on the order page. Assumed it was one size fits all which doesn't make much sense as I think about it now. Didn't occur to me at the time though. The gloves that showed up are marked small/medium. Fortunately my hands are about medium. If the gloves were any smaller at all I would not be able to use them.
However.........I like them. They feel snug and secure. Comfortable. No slipping inside the gloves. NOT gonna fall off as I punch. I wanted more of a martial arts glove than a bulky boxing glove and that's what they seem to be (martial arts glove). No real padding on the sides/edges of the hands. Padding placed front and back of hand.
Can't say about durability as I have used them only a few weeks but I see no problems.
Four stars because I almost never give anything five stars.

Amazing pair of gloves.

I bought these gloves about a month ago and after seeing a negative review, I felt compelled to write a positive one. I have one of those freestanding heavy bags so the gloves I got came with the leather ones.. the ones that make you look like you have penguin hands.
These Neoprene gloves are SO much better than the standard gloves that most heavy bags come with. They fit pretty comfortably too considering (what they don't tell you in the review) they are size Small - Medium. I'm 6'4 and they fit me. (honestly, they BARELY fit me. a tiny bit bigger and I'd be completely satisfied)
Been using them for a month and haven't seen them rip or anything like that. A great purchase.

I bought this product from Amazon and was a little hesitant because it's ~$30 for an elastic band. I wasn't sure if I really needed it but I use this thing everyday. I think I bought it when I was about 4 months and now I'm 3 weeks away from my due date.

I use it wear my non pregnancy pants. You just wear your old pants, have them unzipped and put this band over them. Sometimes I do have to pull up my pants but not too often and only with certain pants.

I'm getting bigger now and even when I wear my pregnancy pants I fold over the bella band to use as a support on my growing belly. It's great. I guess you can even use this post-partem.

I would buy this again...I also hear you can cut 2 holes in this for hands free breast pumping...I however bought something specifically for that.

This product is great and I would recommend it to anyone preggers.

One of my few MUST HAVE pregnancy items!

This not only came in handy do hold up my pants during pregnancy, it also helped me shape my chubby tummy so it looked more pregnant in the earlier stages. It held my tummy in such a comfortable way that I wanted to wear it even as I got bigger, under my clothes just to feel secure. I originally went to purchase one of these bands from a maternity store, in a one size fits all. However, because I am small (Size 2/4), the saleswoman suggested I order a Bella Band, which comes in sizes. I ordered the XS in black and it has come in sooo handy. I am currently 20 weeks and am able to wear my normal jeans with an elastic looped through the hole. I then wear the bella band over, to cover up the buttons. It looks just like a long shirt. I am definitely getting my full value out of this!

I bought a size large since I was concerned they might shrink and I like my work-out clothes loose. I also bought a size large in the t-shirt. I felt the pants were true to size, but that the T-shirt ran a size smaller, so I wish I had ordered an extra large. I'm 5'1" and typically wear a size 10P so you have a frame of reference. I was pleasantly surprised the pant legs were short-no hemming! The cranberry color is accurate and the cotton is medium weight and very nicely sewn. I am very pleased and plan to order the cream/green set. I certainly agree w/ the other reviewer that these garments are worth more than the current price for such quality organic cotton garments.

These pants could easily sell for $30-60 or more; they are extremely reasonably priced for such soft comfortable thick cotton... they are the most comfortable workout pants ever with a very functional wide elastic waistband that makes the drawstring ties almost unnecessary. They fall well and are easy to move and bend and stretch and hang around in... really smartly designed for movement and ease. Great pomegranite color, speedy delivery and customer service was good. Wasn't sure about the sizing: S is about 2-4 women's, true to size.

Wouldn't buy them again

When I opened these pants they stank so badly that I tossed them into the washing machine without first checking fit -- too bad, as now I can't return them. The fit is poor. I am 5'4", and these size medium are high water pants on me, so I can't imagine them on anyone taller. The inserts flare out in an odd way. While they are listed as soft, they are kind of stiff and shiny -- perhaps they will become soft with repeated washings. I had just wanted them to hang out in the house and sleep in, but they fit so poorly that I probably can't even use them for that.

These are okay shorts. If you plan to work out all the time in them, I would reconsider. They don't have a drawstring so I wonder how long the elastic will last for frequent washing. They fit fine however and don't show through.

I originally bought a pair of these Russell pants at my college bookstore many years back -- they are a lightweight, jersey knit material. Some reviewers felt they were way too lightweight, because they were expecting them to be sweat pants. THESE ARE NOT SWEAT PANTS! They are literally pants made out of T-SHIRT MATERIAL. If you want thick, fleecy material, look elsewhere.

I find them to be SO much more comfy than sweat pants. They are loose and a bit baggy. They have a drawstring that you'll probably never use because the elastic waist (which is perfect - and narrow enough so it doesn't "roll") keeps them in place. They are not long in length, but I actually find them to be perfect, because I don't hitch the waist up to MY waist -- I always wear them pulled somewhat low (beneath my belly button). But then if I need to take my dog outside and the ground is wet, I'll hitch them up higher so the pant legs don't get wet. The waist also can be rolled/folded over well (which I know is fashionable especially with teen girls these days).

I am 5'8", and about 180 pounds. I wear the XL, but I also once bought the L when XL was sold out, and it wasn't much smaller, as I recall. I wear them frequently (at least twice a week), and they usually wear out in about 2 years. Do they last as long as sweatpants? No. But they are SO much more comfortable, it's worth it! I also think they're more flattering, because they are loose and have a lovely drape to the fabric -- almost like 'harem' pants.

A note about colors -- I own both the graphite and the black. The black (which is 100% cotton), shrunk a bit in length after washing and drying, and now they're a bit on the short side for me. The graphite (poly/cotton blend) has NEVER shrunk -- I HIGHLY recommend the graphite color because of this. They wear better and wash better. They do not fade in color. Normally I would think 100% cotton would be better, but trust me -- with these pants, get the poly/cotton blend. They still feel like 100% cotton anyway, and they wash/wear better.

I absolutely LOVE these pants, and I was so psyched to find them here on Amazon! You won't be disappointed with the graphite color's poly/cotton blend -- it pretty much goes with everything, and washes/wears beautifully.

I am currently 20 weeks and am able to wear my normal jeans with an elastic looped through the hole. I then wear the bella band over, to cover up the buttons. It looks just like a long shirt. I am definitely getting my full value out of this!

Perfect for petite (short) legs!

I bought a size large since I was concerned they might shrink and I like my work-out clothes loose. I also bought a size large in the t-shirt. I felt the pants were true to size, but that the T-shirt ran a size smaller, so I wish I had ordered an extra large. I'm 5'1" and typically wear a size 10P so you have a frame of reference. I was pleasantly surprised the pant legs were short-no hemming! The cranberry color is accurate and the cotton is medium weight and very nicely sewn. I am very pleased and plan to order the cream/green set. I certainly agree w/ the other reviewer that these garments are worth more than the current price for such quality organic cotton garments.

These pants could easily sell for $30-60 or more; they are extremely reasonably priced for such soft comfortable thick cotton... they are the most comfortable workout pants ever with a very functional wide elastic waistband that makes the drawstring ties almost unnecessary. They fall well and are easy to move and bend and stretch and hang around in... really smartly designed for movement and ease. Great pomegranite color, speedy delivery and customer service was good. Wasn't sure about the sizing: S is about 2-4 women's, true to size.

Wouldn't buy them again

When I opened these pants they stank so badly that I tossed them into the washing machine without first checking fit -- too bad, as now I can't return them. The fit is poor. I am 5'4", and these size medium are high water pants on me, so I can't imagine them on anyone taller. The inserts flare out in an odd way. While they are listed as soft, they are kind of stiff and shiny -- perhaps they will become soft with repeated washings. I had just wanted them to hang out in the house and sleep in, but they fit so poorly that I probably can't even use them for that.

These are okay shorts. If you plan to work out all the time in them, I would reconsider. They don't have a drawstring so I wonder how long the elastic will last for frequent washing. They fit fine however and don't show through.

These gym pants are a very relaxed fit with no elastic at the bottom of the legs. Love them, they are so comfortable. They are not fleece, so they can be worn in the spring/summer, too.

I originally bought a pair of these Russell pants at my college bookstore many years back -- they are a lightweight, jersey knit material. Some reviewers felt they were way too lightweight, because they were expecting them to be sweat pants. THESE ARE NOT SWEAT PANTS! They are literally pants made out of T-SHIRT MATERIAL. If you want thick, fleecy material, look elsewhere.

I find them to be SO much more comfy than sweat pants. They are loose and a bit baggy. They have a drawstring that you'll probably never use because the elastic waist (which is perfect - and narrow enough so it doesn't "roll") keeps them in place. They are not long in length, but I actually find them to be perfect, because I don't hitch the waist up to MY waist -- I always wear them pulled somewhat low (beneath my belly button). But then if I need to take my dog outside and the ground is wet, I'll hitch them up higher so the pant legs don't get wet. The waist also can be rolled/folded over well (which I know is fashionable especially with teen girls these days).

I am 5'8", and about 180 pounds. I wear the XL, but I also once bought the L when XL was sold out, and it wasn't much smaller, as I recall. I wear them frequently (at least twice a week), and they usually wear out in about 2 years. Do they last as long as sweatpants? No. But they are SO much more comfortable, it's worth it! I also think they're more flattering, because they are loose and have a lovely drape to the fabric -- almost like 'harem' pants.

A note about colors -- I own both the graphite and the black. The black (which is 100% cotton), shrunk a bit in length after washing and drying, and now they're a bit on the short side for me. The graphite (poly/cotton blend) has NEVER shrunk -- I HIGHLY recommend the graphite color because of this. They wear better and wash better. They do not fade in color. Normally I would think 100% cotton would be better, but trust me -- with these pants, get the poly/cotton blend. They still feel like 100% cotton anyway, and they wash/wear better.

I absolutely LOVE these pants, and I was so psyched to find them here on Amazon! You won't be disappointed with the graphite color's poly/cotton blend -- it pretty much goes with everything, and washes/wears beautifully.

This is the DVD version of Gaiam's older "Yoga for Intermediates." It's a great variety: standing poses (lots of triangle), inverted poses (handstand, headstand, and arm balance), backbends, and other flexibility. If you'd like something of the intermediate level and plenty of time to practice inverted postures, this is a great sequence. The inversion section is fairly long and he coaches you through it. I recently got rid of my VCR, so I was happy to find that my old "Yoga for Intermediates" was available on DVD under a different name.

Rodney Yee- yoga

This particular program worked for me so well when I had it in the tape version that I bought a second one when I wore that one out. Then I got another in the new version.

I prefer a slower approach, not just one sun salute after another. I prefer separate poses because they help me to be more flexible. It will never be possible or even necessary for me to do everything on this practice, but that's okay. It's still my favorite and nothing Rodney Yee has done since has improved on it for my purposes.

great, but missing some things

This is a nice starter DVD at this level, but I wish it incorporated the inversions into the flow. Rodney Yee is (in my opinion) one of the best Yoga via DVD instructors. I highly recommend any of his DVD's for those who want to practice at home. He is extremely technical, but calm, and soothing. If you want to to real yoga (not hot)and build some actual strength to enhance your flexibility, Rodney is a great starting point. In addition, as an advanced yoga student, I pop in some of his lower level DVDs. They still give a great workout and he gives wonderful reminders of the basics of alignment. If only Rodney and Jason Crandell came out with a workout together. That would be heaven. ps...the advanced DVD set is GREAT!

Great little workout set

If you are as out of shape as I am, then you will appreciate this nice little workout. It is enough to get your heart rate up a bit and get you sweating. It took me a few tries to get the moves right, but as long as you don't have two left feet like me, you will probably be fine.

Motivating and Loads of Fun

Even though I had previously watched a demo of this on Youtube, I was surprised that I liked doing the workout as much as I did (still do) and I love pretty much the whole series. This is a great product for those who might be a bit lazy or struggle with motivation such as myself, just starting off with exercise, or hoping to do something mellow a few days out of the week. If done correctly, you get a mix of low-impact cardio in and also muscle toning, though this would not be ideal for someone who is looking for any intense calorie burning alone. This has also really helped my bad lower back area out tremendously and I often feel energized once I'm done.

I tend to be lazy and get bored quickly with any and all exercise; however, I love dance-related workouts because they manage to make things fun and not just your cookie-cutter aerobics workout, and I think it's good to mix up your routines every now and then. In fact, when I'm feeling the least motivated, I just pop in an Island Girl disc and let the music play, then I'm suddenly all over it.

The Island Girl series not only manages to keep things fun and has makes the time go by fast, but you even get a little bit of a sweat from it and feel it working your muscles. The scenery is beautiful and the women are realistically healthy-looking, which I also happen to find inspiring. I've been seeing results, especially where the obliques (love handle zone) are concerned as well as with other parts of the body, and relatively quickly, too. Even better is the fact that it doesn't feel like you're working out, making it so you're unlikely to give up halfway through.

I do have some dance background from my youth, but little-to-no experience where this type of dance is concerned. It's a bit like belly or Latin dancing with the use of figure-eights and so on, which I also sometimes do, and does take a little getting used to, but if you just do what feels right you'll eventually get the hang of it. If you struggle with it, try doing the routine all the way through as best you can, and then practice in the mirror or on your own. Everyone that I've gotten in on this comments that once they get the hang of it they catch themselves doing it while doing other things about the house, which I am in the habit of as well.

This set in particular is well-made, giving you the option to select parts where you want to start off. For instance, you can easily skip the introduction or move on to just the final routine if you wish to. You can also select for the disc to play without narration and music-only. Although the instruction is not perfect, Kili gives far better cues and instruction than many of the other dance-type workouts that I have and seems easy to follow.

A great start to moving your hips.

Island Girl Dance Fitness Workout is a good start to moving your hips. It has two DVDs, one for Tahitian Cardio & the other for Tahitian Hip Hop. It is set up well with a "warm-up" to begin with and continues on with Tahitian moves that get you working towards a whole choreographed dance/work out. Its fun and quite easy once you get use to it. A good work out for your thighs & good beats to want to keep you moving!

The Tahitian Cardio isn't like other work out DVDs where you're moving so much to get your heart pumping but it is a overall good quick workout that shows you some neat tahitian moves.

The Tahitian Hip Hop DVD incorparates hip hop moves along with some good hip movements.

If you really want to get into the groove, don't be afraid to dress the part like they do!

Jillian Michaels, the trainer from NBC's The Biggest Loser and self-proclaimed "TV's toughest fitness guru," runs through circuit training like a drill sergeant on caffeine. Her theory is to keep moving in between exercises to burn twice as many calories, so she cycles her team through sumo squats, mountain climbers, jump ropes, shoulder raises and bicycle moves without taking a breath. I used to do the Buns of Steel Platinum Series. Obviously that was a while ago. I do not like the Jillian Michaels workouts as well as the ones with Tammy Lee Webb, but for a beginner to an intermediate, these workouts are not bad.

The workout set is great! Consists of 5 different half hour workouts, one for each day of the work week! The workouts are challenging yet everyone is capable after a few practice runs through the set. There is a always one person on the tape doing the modified workout for beginners. I recommend it!

DVD was defective

I'm sure this would have been a good work out DVD however it was defective (perhaps that is why it was only 8.97?) The strange thing was it was packaged as new. I ended up throwing it out, skipped all the way through, even though I cleaned the DVD thoroughly. When I looked at the DVD there was streak all the way through it. Looks like this seller received a bunch of defective DVD's and sold them as "new"

These leggings are awesome. They are so comfortable and provide just the right amount of coverage. You can wear it just by itself or under a tunic or a dress. The material is soft and stretchy.

I have enjoyed these leggings so much since I received them as a gift for Christmas (along with KD's sultry sweater dress). I like where they hit me on my torso - not *so* low, like the annoying trendy jeans that seem to be made for 13 year old girls with no hips, and not so high that they give you a wierd line at your belly-button when you wear them under a dress. They're kind of like the 3rd bowl of porridge in "Goldilocks and the Three Bears": 'just right'. Because they're made with KD's signature stretch fabric, they cling to you gently, and move with you beautifully, without sagging at the knees or in the behind. I've gotten
