hey, this is the only way to get your 20 pull ups in the PFT marines!!! Do 5 every time you walk under the bar and a few max sets a day and you should be up to 20 in no more than 6 weeks….unless your a fat body! then you need to go run! Also this fit my 40″ doorway fine, It should fit up to 46″ door easy I only wish the grips were moveable. Until net time…..Stay motivated!!

decent pull up bar very wide
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
well, i am pretty pleased with the tko, i have bee wanting a pull up bar since the middle school for some reason. the tko is the only bar i found that is so wide. it goes to 50 inches i think ( i needed 40+ inches) most bars top out at 38. the bar seems to support my weight fairly well (190-200) but i try to grip it wide to be safe. i would not try to hold it right in the middle if you are heavy and putting it up wide like i did. still im willing to bet its one of the better bars out there. if i could change something besides possibly an even thicker gauge of steel, it would be to make the handgrips adjustable which they are not. that is annoying and dumb, but hey i gave this bar 4 out of 5 stars so i guess i liked it

    Brackets are of poor design
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
The bar itself is great, very sturdy. The brackets, however, could be better. First, as mentioned in another review, they are too wide for most doorways, so it may be difficult getting the 3rd screw in.

More importantly is the poor design of the latches on the brackets. One of the 2 latches will not properly keep the bar end in the bracket, due to the loose fit of the bar in the bracket. My 11 year old son, who needs to jump up to use the bar, has to be very careful to not unlatch the bar from the bracket.

The loose fit means it rattles as used, leaving a poor impression of overall quality.

Finally, the brackets look “industrial” – ie, rather sloppy. They are not nicely finished and do not add an attractive appearance to my son’s bedroom doorway.

I will try to rework the brackets a little to result in a better fit of the bar. Hopefully the looseness can be corrected.

    sturdy & good

great pull up bar, the mounts are a bit wide for most doors, so for me I could only fit 2 of the screws in. However 2 is definitely enough to make it very stable. Great for the price (was cheaper than what is above right now) :P

    Good pull up bar
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Only remotely negative comment I have about it is that the padding for your hands can’t be moved along the bar to change your grip. Hasn’t been a problem at all for me though. All in all great and cheap.

    Great Pull-Up Bar

I am a 13 year old boy and I got this bar for my room, hoping to build upper body strength, and I have noticed that by using it each time that I walk in to my room, I have been able to do more and more of them. The bar works great and I recommend it to anybody. It stays in place and doesn’t roll at all.

    Box too big.

The pull up bar came fine and was what was expected. Easy to put up and good price. Our only real drawback was that for some reason it is shipped in a HUMONGOUS box. Seriously, the pull up bar is like 2feet long (before extending) and only a few inches thick but it came in a box around 5ft tall and 3 feet square. Seems like a waste of cardboard.

Solid Pull-Up Bar for a great price
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I spent a lot of time researching a good pull-up bar and I’m satisfied I bought this one. The most important things for me were durability and functionality and this bar definitely gets good marks. It’s easy to install and the solid construction means you can jump up and do pull-ups like a madman and not worry about some rickety bolt coming loose or the bar sliding around (based on the reviews of other bars this seemed to be a problem). Basically, a great bar!

    Good overall product

The only issue I have is that it came with no directions, so it took a little bit to get it up. But after I installed it, its been great. Super steady and never spins.

    measure twice, cut once

This is a great pull-up bar. The only problem is that you have to be very precise and make sure the brackets are directly across from each other in the doorway. One of the brackets is slightly higher than the other on my bar because I didn’t measure it exactly and that can make removing and putting the bar back a little difficult, but I usually just keep it in.

great pull-up bar. very stable. even better with a solid steel bar inside at 45inches long. i ordered this for my building here in afghanistan during my current deployment. everyone loves it and uses it daily. it does not roll, and i’ve had 220lb guys do pullups on it. great product. and delivery was extremely fast…even to afghanistan (apo address).

this one can’t spin and thats good
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I bought a bar that looks exactly like this at Sports Authority. IT seems to be the only one that solves the problem of the bar spinning. With the design of the ends of the bar and how they fit in the brackets it cannot spin. What it says about portability in the description is nonsense. You absolutely must use the brackets and they MUST be screwed in securely. My bar came with no foam hand grips, just as the one pictured. My bet is you get no hand grips. But you do get a chrome plated steel bar thats not going anywhere once you get up. Sports Authority had it for $14.99

    Very strong

Good product, actually ripped out of the wall, but thats a testament to the strength of the bar, and my crappy wall. excellent if you have wider than a standard doorway.

    Sturdy, Well-made, slightly silly design
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Keeping in mind that designing a pull-up bar isn’t exactly nuclear physics, this is a solid product overall. The drawback is that the grips are both in a fixed location, so that no matter how you mount it, you will be off to one side just a little. Does that really matter when doing pull-ups? No. This is a decent pull-up bar. Do your pull-ups, folks.
